This is why Tony wanted to play at 1pm

.
If your the better team, you will win. No excuses about the weather. Does it help? maybe. But you know what else helps? playing better than the team on the other side of the ball.

As John Madden would say, if you score more points then the opposite team, you have a good shot at winning the game. (paraphrasing)
The better team isn't always going to win. At this point in the season, there is no way that the Pats can be conditioned for the south Florida heat and humidity. They clearly have the better team on paper, but we should hold the advantage because of climate factors alone. Just like when we go there in December, there is no way we can prepare for the weather we are going to face. Obviously, through the middle of the season the playing field is a little more level, but at the beginning of the season, when we could have a homefield advantage, Ross screwed us. They very easily could've flip flopped the schedule so we play there tomorrow and they come to us in December so nobody has to deal with harsh weather, but they didnt. The Pats are going to take advantage of the freezing cold weather. Ross may be rich, but he is football stupid.

I think it's weak that the NFL will cater to our opponent's to avoid our heat advantage, but they have NO problem scheduling us for potential brutally cold games on the road at the end of the season.

Our owner asked for the NFL to do so. Robert Craft welcomes the Dolphins to NE in December.

Wow and here I though that NBC and ESPN, where the one's deciding who played on Sunday and Monday night. But reading all the crying on here it was Ross that told ESPN and the NFL that Miami was going to play the opening Monday night game. On top of that Ross decided that this team needed a real challenge so he made the NFL give the phins 5 of 6 games on the road.

Ross asked the league to give the Dolphins night and road games early in the year and the NFL granted his request

There are so many people on this site that do not know what you stated.
Yeah, thats surprising because it's been discussed so much. This is an example of the owner affecting what happens on the field in a bad way for his own team. He is worried about filling seats and is hurting the team in the process.
IMO, fans will brave anything for a winner
