Watching this video i couldn't believe how many missed deep balls there were, and this is just 2013 btw. Even when under thrown Wallace was criticized if he didn't make an amazing play, which he sometimes did. How can anyone blame Wallace for being upset when this many points are left on the board i would be upset too. i love tannehill, think he's our guy but at want point do we start putting some of the blame on him and without having a true verdict on what happened at the end of the year during the jets game i really have to side with wallace on all of this, if we cut him we lose a lot.

Exactly. We may not like his attitude but if you watched he was almost always open. Just have to connect on them and that won't fix itself by making Wallace a scape goat

Do me a favor, watch Giants Beckham make his catches over under, right, left, high and low then watch some of Wallace Tanny misses. Tanny needs a deep threat that will practice with him and make the tough catch...don't see Wallace as that guy. This coming from a guy who really wants to keep him but only if he's ok with Tanny and I'm not sure he is.

Goes back to issue#1 Wallace has no heart... Only reported to offseason workouts when it was mandatory.

i believe wallace was staying late all season to catch balls from the jugs machine. Why wasn't tannehill throwing with him, could we also question tannehills willingness to make this work?

Tanny needs to not suck throwing a deep ball lol

Older video....posted a dozen or so times on this site...with being the actual subject of the thread....

I can offer the counter argument that Tannehill should have been able to sit down and take himself out of the game with how atrocious the pass blocking was...

Here is a breakdown of all those plays as I saw it:

1: way overthrown, on RT
2: connected for TD
3: RT hit on throw, still connected even if he had to slow down
4: RT hit on throw, connected in stride
5: RT's fault
6: Wallace had to slow down, but connected. The ball travelled 59 yards through the air (11 yard line to opposing 30 yard line). Don't know many QBs with pinpoint accuracy on 60 yard throws...
7: A half yard overthrown
8: catchable ball, dropped
9: bad throw, but hit hands and still dropped
10: RT's fault, a yard overthrown

When you look at the plays themselves, these aren't atrocious throws, but football is a game of inches. It's also hard to say that he WR is absolved of all blame without knowing how he was supposed to run the route. Wallace does seem to have a bad habit of randomly changing his speed during a route which I definitely believe plays into some of the connection issues.

I'm pretty sure that most sensible people aren't saying Tannehill isn't partially at fault. His deep ball clearly isn't the most accurate. The point that most are trying to make is that Wallace certainly doesn't help. Again, unless it is a perfectly thrown ball, Wallace is not going to catch it.

the first overthrow was awful, then the next 3 were underthrown but acceptable and completed. so I stopped watching

Please direct me to the JUGS machine that is throwing 60 yard go routes and hitting Wallace in stride. More specifically, one that he doesn't have to slow down like he did in the video you provided.

Not all of those throws were awful but Wallace made a few incredible catches.

Not true Wallace attended all of the volunteer camps last off season and only missed two of very informal throwing sessions that Tannehill had with some of the other receivers.

Is there an OBJ tree in your neck of the woods?

Wallace isn't him. If you can get us one of those, we can jettison this quitter.
