All of you dolphins fans that always seem to try to preach silver linings and things to look forward too need to put the cool-aid down and take the rose colored glasses off or you will drive yourself insane. Miami will NEVER field a good team until this regime is blown up from the top to the bottom and that includes scouts, draft consults, etc.

I stand by my prediction of a 3-13 season or worse. This team is horribly coached, not motivated and lacks talent in key positions ACROSS the board. I have no clue why Daboll cannot send Bush out in matchups that utilize his only strength and that is as a punt returner or a slot receiver or out of the backfield. I don't get Sparano's stubborness to open the playbook and stop with the worthless Bush running plays and am baffled he isn't getting receptions. You have a bruising your back that looks like the best prospect for runningback for some time since Ricky Williams in his prime behind a porous and inconsistent o-line and you lack any kind of creativity with utilizing Bush.

I could go on and on but this year is going to be the culmination of the past few years. What you are seeing is strikingly similar to the 1-15 season. Guys just aren't good enough and it shows.

I know you shouldn't root against your team but for the first time after we gave up that touchdown to Massaquoisisuouaua, I felt like Miami needed to lose the game. It would be the dagger in heart of a worthless regime. I welcome change and I could care less if we lose them all, any change would be better than the direction we are going in...err have been in.

So go ahead and tell me Daniel Thomas looks great. Ok, that's great because at this rate, Sparano will run him 350 times a year and run him into the ground while the team still toils in mediocrity. Tell me how Chad Henne has turned the corner and is looking like the promising young qb that Miami drafted. All I am going to tell you is that we haven't won a playoff game in forever and we really have become one of the worst franchises in the NFL. Also I will remind you that as we stand right now, we are 0-3 and that is all that matters. You can keep your paper championship and I will serve up a huge dose of reality.

Also many of you will say "what's the purpose of this site or being a fan if the franchise is doomed?" Fair enough but you can root for the team as I will but there is a fine line between being a fan and realizing that the only way Miami will be competitive is via regime change and not some madden pipe dream or baseless silver lining and one that constantly tells us next week. I have so many silver linings that I could sell the blankets made by them and retire a millionaire.

FYI...If Miami DOES somehow beat San Diego or the Jets or both, I will just tell you that the sun shines on a dogs *** every now and then. I think as a fan for 28 years I am pretty confident that I know how the sun sets on the Miami dolphins especially in the past 15 years. So go ahead and drink your kool-aid. Ignorance truly is bliss. You have been warned...

Your argument is inconsistent. Is it bad talent or bad coaching? Tony did not buy the groceries, the GM did. If it is bad talent, do you not play conservative? In my opinion, Columbo is a turnstile. The Browns got away with blitzing in the second half and we never took advantage of single coverage. Marshall is a skinny TE who does not stretch the field. Do not blame Henne. The Browns adjusted but Daboll did not. The OL is merely average. Ireland has done a decent job working in Parcells regime. We have no 3rd WR. Who is our slot receiver. When Hartline is covered, Henne has to force it to Marshall who was covered all day. We have no ability to open up the offense because of our talent. We would be a good team in the NFC west. We suck in our own division.

Look on the bright side, we almost beat a Super Bowl contender this week. We'll turn this thing around.

What part of blowing it up from the top to bottom is hard to comprehend? That includes the roster...

Bad coaching along with a bad front office, leads to bad talent. Hell our doctors couldn't even evaluate Drew Brees or Daunte Culpepper adequately. It's from the top to the bottom. I am not a believer that a good coach is going to turn this hot mess around in a year. I see a dreaded 3 year "gasp" rebuild happening in Miami in order for Miami to be able to get the right players on the roster. One thing for sure, the current crop of coaches couldn't groom any player on the team and it shows.

You must be a younger fan. No new coach would blow up this roster. Saban set this team back by signing over the hill free agents for big bucks. Parcells at least made the defense young. We are still a young defense and the absence of off season practices has hurt the defense. Build through the draft. We are a team without leadership. Jimmy Johnson ran the same offense we have now.

There isn't a single positive thread on this entire site. Who the hell has the rose colored glasses on?

do u honestly think that the reason columbo is here ISNT BECAUSE of tony???

Younger? Been a fan since 1983...

What exactly do we have on defense? Langford is average and Merling sucks. Soliai isn't living up to his 12M a year payout this year and ever since Starks was removed from NT, he hasn't been the same. Dansby appears to be living up to his billing out of Arizona and Burnett is lost in Nolans defense so far. Misi blows and Wake is a one trick pony that the league has figured out how to stop...double team him. Sean Smith is a ****ing joke. Vontae Davis isn't a game changer at all and turning into more of a solid number 2 at this point. I won't even comment on the safeties or backup corners as the vast majority of them blow and bad.

Offensively, the Henne experiment is a year overdue. Hartline and Fasano have severe Chris Chambers syndrome. Bess and Marshall are the only consistent wideouts. Daniel Thomas is up and coming but unknown at this point. The line is a severe mess as Carey gets hurt every game and gives up sacks or misses blocks. Incognito shouldn't be starting and Colombo absolutely sucks and shouldn't even be on the team. Nobody knows about John Jerry as he barely can get on the field.

So....you tell me exactly how this roster really is anything worth noting. We lack depth and talent at a good portion of the key positions. Well in hindsight the talent may actually be there but this staff couldn't identify it and nurture it into something if their lives depended on it.

Of course you build through the draft but do you really want me to bring up Miami's draft failures over the past decade?

Oh give it time. The silver lining homers will be in droves in the next few days trying to point out the good ****...

Smh...if Luck doesn't come out,we'll just get Jones or Barkley....the drop off isn't as stupendus as people may think

It's just one piece of the puzzle, albeit a large one. If you think Luck is going to come here and just automatically smooth things over and we are a perennial contender with this current lineup, I think you are sadly mistaken...

lol this guy mad at optimistic ppl, stfu

I was 6 years old when the Phins were dominant. By the time Marino was drafted, our defense was good but not great. We lost the Super Bowl in 1984. When Arnsbarger left, our defense suffered. By the time Shula retired in 1995, we had cap issues that persisted preventing us from getting talented free agents. The cap issues remained through Saban's tenure. Cam cut a lot of fat and cut Saban's aged FAs. Parcells and Ireland took over a 1-15 team. Year 4 does not mean playoffs in our division. I know Bill signed and then cut lineman who could play but were injury riddled. Our best draft so far is our most recent. Nolan's defense sucks. I agree Sparano is not a HC but our team is rebuilding, getting younger and better on offense. The red zone is a disaster but we have a new OC and not enough talented receivers.

Any change Ross makes will be for ticket sales. Let the season play out. If we are horrible, time will prove it grasshopper.
