Remember when Sporano was a lame duck coach and the search for a new OC got so desperate we had to hire the former Cleveland OC whose offense ranked like dead last.

Granted in Miami he actually improved our offense, especially when Matt Moore took over. But that entire regime was flushed the next year.

The hire reeked of leftovers, and now this ones starting too as well, particularly if Kubiak isn't hired. McAdoo and Lazor gone, and a report the Shanahan interview didn't go well.

If Kubiak isn't hired, whose left that can fit into our team without a complete offensive philosophy overhaul?

I think Lions and Giants got the leftovers. They really bit hard. We are playing it cool, no need to panic over former QB coaches.

I look at it as. If a bad OC is hired, they will have another losing season & the gm can finally clean house. Win-win

Brian Daboll actually did a pretty good job.

Here are the guys I know of who are available:

1. Gary Kubiak. No brainer. If he will take the job, you give it to him. You trip over your own feet rushing to give it to him.
2. Kyle Shanahan. Heard the interview 'did not go well.' He has run a WCO offense with similarities to Mike Sherman's in the past. Could be a decent hire.
3. Norv Turner. Say what you want, but Norv is a good OC and I wouldn't mind seeing him come back to have that job here again. He does not run a WCO.
4. Rob Chudzinski. Same as Norv, good OC but doesn't run a WCO.

Then you could look around the league at other teams' QB and WR coaches and see if they are open to be interviewed.

As far as the Dolphins staff, the only real candidate I know of is Ken O'Keefe. He was the OC at Iowa for like 12 years before coming here. I can't say I am familiar with Hawkeyes football, but everything I've heard from people who follow that school has been overwhelmingly negative.

the new OC will be a west coast guy 100% Philbin won't change systems in a do-or-die year.

And we then turn our attention to drafting another big time QB, in the middle of the first round.

Joe has to adapt, but Norv would be an unreal selection. Joe has to get out of his comfort zone.

BTW, I blame Ross for this OC issue and not Joe.

Boss n Carl left for 2 days and what happens? DawnJo started their own dog-n-pony show... prob made it as uncomfortable as they could... no one with any balls is coming to our team - not unless he asks for their heads as payment...

Dawn Aponte is not involved with the OC search, that is Philbin's task.

Also, please don't use the term DawnJoe, no need to give life to that stupid name Armando came up with during his Dolphins hit piece because they fired his friend/source Ireland.
