Were Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson household names before they started winning?
With these five wide sets, people will start to know who we are! Including some of you "dolphins fans."

Jennings and Nelson were both second round picks. We might not know who they were but the GMs sure did. they are top end WRs coming out of college.

jordy nelson and greg jennings are very good recievers that helped create GBs big name offense. they would excel on any NFL team

im excited to see how these recievers produce, i really think we could be set at WR, but talk is nothing, lets see how they do

I don't know about Jordy Nelson, but Miami doesnt' have any Greg Jennings on the roster and I agree that anyone who knew college and NFL football knew that GJennings was an exciting prospect. Miami didn't draft any 'exciting' prospects at WR, and if you're honest, Lamar Miller is probably the only real 'exciting' prospect other than Tanne, who's less 'exciting' because he took the #8 overall pick and has a lot of pressure. I think the Miller pick is pretty cool, as then Bush can go back to being a TOW = total offensive weapon.

I think we're trying to make too much of the "we don't need a #1 on this offence"......I love Philbin so far and I'm not upset that BM is gone. I believe the new offence will help our WR's but they still need to be good. We're not going to win many games with a bunch of WR's playing like 3's and 4's.

Ozzy rules!!

If you really considered Jennings a "no name"...then I know exactly where to place your analysis...in the garbage....

Yeah they were pretty much nobody's...although Jordy did have 122 catches, 1,606 yds and 11 TDs his Junior season at KSU before entering the NFL and in two years at Western Michigan Greg had 172 catches, 2,351 yds and 25 TDs. IDK, there may have been good reason they were 2nd round picks.

I couldn't agree more!

Oh. Another one of these ridiculously naive WR threads. Jennings and Nelson are far better than anything we have on this roster. They were far better prospects coming out of college than anything we have on the roster. They have more talent than anything we have on this roster. Look around. Top teams have explosive pass catchers. We don't. And only one WR on the roster (Gates) has any chance whatsoever at being one. Oh and did I mention they have this other guy named Jermichael Finley? He too is far better than anything we have.

While i do not agree 100% with exactly what the op is saying, i do agree in part.

I feel by the end of next season, at least 1, possibly 2 of our wf's that are currently on our squad will have very good seasons.

Bess is going to be one of them, and i am not sure who is going to have the breakout year, Gates, or Wallace, but one of them will.

Que the snarky comments...we will see i guess.

These WRs will see nothing but one on one with little help over the top from the safeties. We have too many RB and TE weapons that the defense will key on, the WRs should see success because all of our WRs are good route runners which is all you need to get separation. The key to this offense being very good is if Gates can be that deep threat to make the defense keep saftey help on his side leaving more TEs and RBs on LBers. Have fun putting a LBer on Egnew, Clay, Bush or Miller.

I never said he was a "no name receiver." Just said he wouldnt be a houshold name. I think a dr would know the difference. So put yourself in the garbage. Just trying to say lets wait and see what happens when we finally mock the winners and spread the field. Jeez, yall are such haters!

Isn't the receiving corp better than it was pre-Marshall? I don't remember everyone saying Miami had the worst group in the league.
