Not keeping Will Allen who balled the last two games and worked his *** off to get back is on him.

F YOU IRELAND. Sean Smith is an absolute joke. Vontae probably hurt himself celebrating again. Nolan Carroll is laughable. Our secondary BLOWS!!!!
 
Absolutely!!! Nolan Carroll has no business being on this team he got smoked all preseason while will allen was balling! carroll is getting smoked right now!

No excuse for being exposed like that. I know it's Brady but this defense is non-existent. Is Mike Nolan sick or what? Where's our d-line everyone loves so much? Where is the best CB tandem in the league???
 
comon, if nolan wanted will allen, we'd have will allen. Jeff doesn't coach them, he doesn't make sure they are hydrated ... whateer dude it sucks but if you're goto blame guy is jeff ireland... you're being obtuse. seriously did you expect us to shutout brady?
 
Part of this stuff is on Nolan. The defense hasn't been able to figure out what it's doing on any play and it's plainly obvious that they don't know what their assignments are, and they haven't figured out how to substitute without getting caught on the field.

Some common sense!
 
Our pas defense hasn't been good for years since the Madison, Marion, and Surtain years. But here we are again, with the same defensive backs, getting shredded by Brady.....again. This defense is a bigger buzzkill than Buzz Killington.
 
Will Allen is done. Seriously, just let it go

Normally I'd be happy to kick Ireland but this is mainly on Mike Nolan. I know he's loved on here but for me he's overrated. There is talent on defense especially the front seven but his defense is too vanilla / safety-first for my tastes. We somehow made a big play tonight when Brady had a brainfart but it's a rarity. The other thing about Nolan is he doesn't adjust well during games. And as for not even being able to line up with the correct number of players well that's just inexcusable and it's been going on for a while
 
The CB's should be Davis, Smith, Allen, Sapp and Carroll. Carroll should be cut after week one and Nate Jones picked up.

We need CB's galore in our division and with our opening sked.

It is on Ireland.
 
If Ireland is worth his salt, he calls the agent of Allen and Jones and gets them in here for practice Wednesday.

Tell me that those two guys would not help the development of Smith and Davis.
