He thought it was silent but deadly...he was just a little bit off there. He definitely appears to have no clue that he crapped himself or is just such a pimp that he doesn't care.
 
Question - Is Jelani Jenkins exclusively just a weakside Linebacker? He is mentioned as a possible replacement to Wheeler. We are committed to paying Wheeler this year because of Ireland's terrible decision to guarantee the first 2 years. However, I can see Coyle giving Jenkins plenty of opportunities in preseason. The wild card is Tripp, who can play all 3 LB roles.
 
I said many times last year that Wheeler was not sure of what he was doing. All of our LBs were looking like they were not sure what they were supposed to be doing on too many plays. Misi was the only one that seemed to have a clue. I put a lot of that on the LBs coach and think you will see a lot of improvement from both Wheeler and Ellerbe. Not sure Misi will have a great year in the middle but I can see a lot of improvement over last year's play at the other two LB spots.

I don't see Wheeler as being elite, but he didn't have the tackling problems before he got here. I think that was more a product of being a second late understanding his responsibilities in the defense. He will be much better this year. On the other hand I expect Misi in the middle to be a disaster.

The biggest hope for the LBs, is the new LB coach Miami signed. He was a damn good one in NY.

People forget Miami upgraded the position coach which is huge in a players grasp and development.

With him, Benton, and Lazor the chances for this team to improve is high.
 
If the LB's can be just marginally good, this will be a very solid defense.

I want to see someone beat him out for the starting position. if not sure hope Phinatic8u is right about the improved coaching for that unit.

Wheeler is terrible and should have been replaced.
 
it's not a competition to me i hope all our players become elite.
