Looks like a broken play. Why would RT follow Drake on the read option look? Drake clearly is not looking like he thinks he’s a “lead blocker”.

Looks to me like it’s got two options outside with drake and inside with tanny. Tanny kept it didn’t like the inside qb up the middle look and broke outside where the other option would go with Drake.

Doesn’t look like drake is a lead blocker there. Why tanny didn’t get north south with it after the fake I don’t know. Must not have liked that inside lb positioning.

Reach block by right tackle combo block by the right guard and seal block ask of the center id assume with the way he swings around post snap. with the wr stills responsible for the boundary corner.

Inside outside option run play. No built in pass option

Sure looks to me like tanny is reading something inside post snap there. Lb or center would be my guess.

That's what I wondering too. Drake had no clue that he was supposed to block. You can literally see him slowing down and turning around like the play was supposed to go to the other side.

The question which also had to be asked is why Ryan took a 2 yard loss. Just throw it out of bounce as soon as you are out of the pocket.

Cause that’s illegal man downfield boss. There’s no pass option in that call.

Right guard would be illegal
 
I will guess again also. Drake’s post snap motion miamis banking on displacing the middle lb if tanny keeps it so he can run it up inside.

Doesn’t look it displaced him enough so he follows the strength of the play call which is the outside Drake path. Maybe thinking more yards to gain outside if the line and stills executes their play asks.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. The strength of the formation is to the Drake play side. As is the second level combo block. With the reach block that’s about getting a soft edge to turn the corner on.

And again tanny is reading something inside post snap at the fake hand off point.

So I really think that ball was meant on the qb keep to be run up inside

Standard zone read is post snap qb reads the edge either de or scrape lb primary. This looks like a play off of that where the qb reads the inside. I don’t know why his head would be inside at the hand off point if it wasn’t a inside read where the qb plans to keep it and run up inside if he gets what he wants.

Its possible the outside strength of the formation reach combo and I’d assume seal given the centers positioning asks are for show and the ideal change it up scenario is the qb keep inside.

It’s also possible he was gonna keep that no matter what and didn’t post fake like the inside option thus he broke for the strength of the formation and blocking scheme.
