I look forward to dealing with the reality of what went on in a game as opposed to the unlimited presumption and hyperbole that seems to be a major part of preseason posting.

It will be very interesting if this years team demonstrates serious competitive play.

Then all that "chicken little, the sky is falling" nonsense that has prevailed on this forum since the draft can take its rightful place on some other forum. I suspect we can see it on the Patriots form, since the team has lost many of its important coaching staff over the last three years.

YES, I am predicting that the Patriots will not win the division and may not even place 2nd, due to the multiple changes in coaching over the last three years.

I may be wrong, but it makes sense to me.

That sounds like a little bit of preseason presumption and hyperbole.

I for one am excited to see how the Miami Dolphins play this year. I don't expect them to win too many game however, I firmly believe they will play hard nose, discipline football. I want to see an edge to this team and believe Flores will bring that out of them.

My fear for the GameDay threads is that, every time we threaten to score or have a chance to win, a group of members will bitch and moan that we're ruining our chances at a top pick.

But aside from that, hopefully these threads will be less devisive.

If we do well. Some will get excited. Others will sorta become cautiously optimistic. But wary. Other will piss and moan and say, yeah, but when we meet a REAL TEAM...

Doom and gloom.

If we do not do well (not just losing, but the same old mistakes, just made by different guys) then everybody will lose their marbles, call for Flo’s head on a pole. Everybody except the doom and gloom guys. They’ll say, Yep. Told you so.

Poor Flores. I cannot imagine that kind of pressure, especially after we gutted the roster.

Everybody wants a hot QB next draft, but nobody wants to go through the season of hell to get there. Nobody wants to tank out the whole year. I don’t care what guys say. A few games of getting blown out will start to hurt, even if we see it coming.

Winning, however makes all hands SO much easier to agree with......

I'm not so sure. Remember, Miami won 7 last year and there are people saying Miami lucked in to 4-5 (more than half) of them.
And FH members can be assured of a few things - the Rosen debate will continue until the draft, gloom and doomers will focus on the players who implode and the optimists will focus on the good surprises, any wins will be attributed to the coaching - the players still suck, and many others.
By week 8, there will posts of 'we drafted A and COULD HAVE HAD . . ., as if everyone knew.
And, keep in mind, the sky MAY BE falling. No one knows.
With that long preface, I suspect, after the bye, the quality of posts will improve. One side or the other may not like it, but the evidence will start to accumulate.

I believe we did nothing to tip our hand in the preseason and with Flores facing Bellicheat in game two I suspect he is going to do as much as he can to keep some things under wraps in week one also. That game two will be very interesting.

I am not going to wait until Sunday, I am going to geometrically improve my posts right now.

√ Rosen * Fitzpatrick = Dolphins PPG
√ 3*14 = Dolphins PPG
√ 42 = Dolphins PPG
6.48 = Dolphins PPG
