How good would this team, with the talent it has, be if we had a great coach leading them? What would the Don do with this team? What about Belicheck? etc...

I don't see enough talent on the team, but that is Sparano and Ireland's fault. That is why I think they should be fired after this season. Our FA aquisitions were 80% bad moves, we knew since last year that OL was a concern, in preseason that right side was getting abused and guess what, is being abused on regular season, we knew Reggie was not a back that could carry the load and we are seeing it now, we (on finheaven) knew that safety spot Clemons/Jones was a weakness, and we ignored it since preseason, we are just paying the consecuence of having two stuborn and blinded persons running our team in Mr. Ireland and our always outcoached coach Sparano. How about Will Allen getting cut to ou surprise, then again we were not that wrong because he was in fact better than Carroll and Sapp. Our defense is looking so tired because of poor conditioning, that is a head coach job. I believe that the only real talent we have on defense is Cameron Wake, our supossed strengh (the fornt seven) is lacking a true tackler like Zach Thomas on the ILB possition (I am frustrated of seeing so many missed tackles by everybody) and a true space eater like Bowens (Soliali has to be one of the weakest NT I have ever seen). Smith and Davis are not even close to Surtain and Madison. So to even try to compare this defense to that of probowlers like Bowens, Surtain, Madison, Marion, Taylor, Thomas, Armstrong and Buckley is just foolish. On offense or talents are Long and Marshall. Notice there is only one draft pick an he was 1st overall. I miss the times when we were able to draft probowlers.

Coaching is a huge factor. I'm not sure if Sparano or Ireland alone is the problem as much as they are a combined menace to progress. It would take a miracle for Sparano to keep his job at this point. If Ross truly wants a winner, or some WOW factor, he's going to have to land a big fish. A Coach that players throughout the league respects. Cowher, Gruden, Dungy. that type of guy.

There is no way they take on the job with Ireland here.

As for the players themselves. It puzzles me how players come here and stink things up. it's like a place where careers come to die. it's sad. Are they being placed in positions to be successful? I don't hear of to many Dolphin Cast offs being successful other than Welker.

It's coaching.. it's talent.. that problem starts at the top.
