well in august the only indications would have been simply 1. the fact sparano was coming back even after details emerging from the locker room that he didnt have the respect of his players and a poor performace at the end of last year. so that should have been a huge red flag. the other would have been not adding depth to the secondary, cutting will allen, and filling the RT with columbo.
those were all pretty clear signs of troubles ahead. but certainly not a reason to eliminate all optimism.
when the team came out unprepared to win in week one at home, however, it should have been very clear this season was going to fall apart. it was frankly inevitable. and i know this was discussed - its ONLY one game. clearly IT WASNT ONLY ONE GAME lol. it was the thread of hope - the fragile psyche of the locker room coming unglued, and last remaining bit of confidence in sparano being dashed on the field. at that point it should have been clear what we were actually headed for.
