thats the best way i can describe it. we have so many guys out there just putting the haters to the side because of the amount of heart they put into the game. you can tell they are all out there just having fun. who would have thought our supposedly "worst receving corps" in the NFL is doing so well, theyve only dropped the ball once or twice in 7 freaking games!!! anyone please feel free to add to this.

This is a team of overachievers. That's good in the short term, not so good in the long )FO needs to help) but, it's a product of the coaching. I'm amazed noone's mentioned that anyone should eat crow about hte staff, because I'd be one that would be dineing right now. Overachieveing is a sign of good coaching. Honestly, a big sign I saw yesterday? The guys out there looked honestly angry they gave up a catch in the secondary..Yes, I know...You should always be upset but, you could see them saying.."DAMNIT! I HAD THAT GUY!" It's a little thing, but, I see it as a good thing. They are expecting to play like winners.

yeah i agree but only one thing wrong with your statement

this team FINALLY has heart.

I am having fun watching and listening this team. We have great young players a good group of veteran leaders. I see the young guys starting to develop and the vets returning to form this team is gonna get better and better as the season goes on.

I would not be surprised if we reel off a nice winning streak at the end of the season.

I'll probably get ripped for saying this, but I don't think that heart is the difference.

The roster was turned upside down, we got a new quarterback (a very good one that was a longtime starter and is still in his prime) changed our defensive approach and introduced all sorts of new wrinkles in the offense.

I don't think that last year's team lacked heart. They just lacked talent and game planning.

P.S. On a philosophical level, I believe that all NFL players have heart. If they didn't, they would have never made it to the pro level. Sure, some guys seem to have a little more than others, but I don't think that's the difference maker in most cases. When you deal with professionals, skill, intelligence, character, and talent level trump heart.

The only intangible that holds water, in my opinion, is clutchness (the ability to make big plays under heavy pressure or duress). It's what makes guys like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Joe Montana special.
