hOW A COACH THAT HAS LOST 7 STRAIGHT GAMES TOTAL AND 6 STRAIGHT ROAD GAMES CAN KEEP HIS JOB IS BEYOND ME. we have lost 4 of the last 5 games by margins of 10 or more and the defense that looks so promising looks like the patriots and unfortunately we dont have their offense. we are ranked 27th in scoring offense and 26th in scoring defense. of course these numbers dont reflect this week which will make them look even worse.

It's because Ross is just as bad as an owner as Sparano is a coach.

7 straight losses??

Let's hope we lose 19 straight games when sparano is canned and we have the first overall pick for a once in a generation type of quarterback.

This season will be long forgotten and a fleeting memory when you have Andrew Luck under center in Miami over the next 15 years

I can't even imagine the pain that I would feel if we keep Sparano all season, end up 2-14, and miss out on the #1 pick somehow. I know Ross would end up firing Sparano, keeping Ireland, and when 100% of the conventional wisdom says we'd absolutely have to trade up to pick Luck, Ireland would sit at #3 and draft the next Tony Mandarich or Steve Emtman.

Sparano is the key to turning this franchise around...just a couple more months worth of losses.

Do you REALLY want to see Sparano fired right now though?

Think reeeal hard about it.

I want to win regardless. It would be great to get luck but like I have said before a qb does not do it alone. Hell i would have liked Locker this year. people act like only one qb can be great and the eli manning draft has provided 2 qb's better than eli that nobody thought was going to be better than him. A good coach is more important than any of these things. San Francisco is 3-1 with frigiin Alex smith paying qb and is no more talented than we are. Tenn and Buff are 3-1 with guys that are definately not franchise qb's. Also if we fire Sparano we are not going to do more than just promote from within until the end of the season so its not like any of these clowns could ignite a fire .

The way this league is designed today, the QB changes EVERYTHING.

If you don't have one—like us—you're gonna be bad.

If you have an elite franchise QB, you're turning your franchise around. I know Detroit has Calvin Johnson, etc., but they aren't going anywhere without a legit QB.

Andrew Luck and a legit coaching staff would do WONDERS for this team.

I dont know I think Matt Barkly or Landry jones and a legit coaching staff would do quite fine also. Like I said everyone though eli manning was head and shoulders above every other qb in that draft , there are no guarantees. I love Andrew Luck dont get me wrong but none of these guys are bad qb options.

I still say Eli is the best QB in that draft and the most underrated QB in the league. Dude is throwing to backups. Look what he did when Plaxico was there.

Rivers has Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates. Can't get it done.

I dont see any of the failures of the chargers on rivers. He also has kind of made vincent jackson. san diego is another team that suffers from poor coaching, put Rivers on a better coached team and he might be best qb in league. I personally dont think Eli can carry river's jock. also I dont think hakeem Nicks is a backup, take him over any wr on chargers or our roster

Nicks isn't even playing. Rivers is definitely the victim of poor coaching but how does Eli get all of the criticism but no one else does?

I think it's because all of the hype surrounding him and the fact that he's Peyton's brother. That's it. It's like people had this unrealistic expectation for Eli based on his brother's accomplishment and when he didn't meet it, he's labeled a bust.
