Forget Ireland, he's done all he could to bring talent to this team and Philbin and Sherman have flushed it down the toilet. It was them who told Ireland Martin could play LT. They aren't easing Tannehill into the league at all. Egnew has shown he can play and they continue to push him aside. They stop running late in games when they should the most. They haven't been able to adjust late in games. Little has been done playcalling wise to make it easier on the offensive line to pass block. They aren't using adequate playcalling to help involve Wussllace. We don't finish games. Clock management, influencing officials, calling challenges it's just a never ending list. When you compare this offensive roster to say the Seahawks or the Bengals I just don't see them being that much better than ours. Offer Coyle to stay if he wants to and fire Philbin and Sherman and bring Jay Gruden for HC and Zampese for OC or Pederson and Nagy; I mean if they could "fix" Alex Smith; Clements, McAdoo and Van Pelt or Bevell, Smith and Canales. If Ireland keeps his job by the end of the season but we go 6-10 or worse he HAS to fire the whole offensive staff. If a new GM is brought I hope its a win now GM that keeps our core together and not an abrasive guy that wants to redo it all over again. I start to feel like the Browns... Sigh...

This is not an endorsement for or against Jeff Ireland. Simply put....this Dolphins team had enough talent to beat Baltimore, Buffalo, and New England and didn't. So...in my opinion, everyone from the top on down to the water boy needs to be held accountable.

I keep hearing this team has "talent" every year....still waiting for that talent to translate into wins.

leave jeff ireland alone! Leave him alone!!!!

This team does have talent...enough to keep us tantalizingly close until the 4th quarter and then it all falls apart. We could be 5-2 easily (discounting Pats and Saints games). Everything at the moment points to rather poor coaching at critical times. That's why we've lost 4 in a row. That's why we're in for yet another close disappointment Thursday. And that's why I'm beginning to believe we need another new coaching staff. God, I'm so sick of this @$$@#!!

Ireland chose Philbin. Philbin chose Sherman. I agree that this team does not maximize its talent. I just do not agree with your conclusion. Ireland is still responsible.

I'm not saying he isn't I just don't want to go through another rebuilding with a GM that might want to bring his own guys. That'd already be what our 4th rebuilding in 10 years? I just don't want to do it all over.

Best just to keep losing, amirite?

That's what I want to avoid. I just want someone who will build on top of the little good there is in this roster instead of starting over from scratch. Either of the Grudens would likely keep most of this roster and if they want personnel control so be it. Again I'm not defending Jeff Ireland I just don't want to rebuild again.

Paragraphs are your friends.

Also, if having arguably 6 elite players (Soliai, Starks, Wake, Fields, Grimes, Pouncey) on the roster is all Ireland could do in SIX YEARS, then he doesn't need to be here anymore.

Gruden? And who would you want as the GM?
