And to see it any other way is just well actually I can't come with the words to describe it. I am no fair weather fan either so don't even go there. We are still pathetic top to bottom period.

it all comes down to your expectations. If you expected this new regime to come in and not need some time you should be disappointed. Although I hate the losses (ESPECIALLY to NE) I think Gase will get this team turned around by the end of the season. I expected us to struggle out the gate having to face Seattle and NE on their turf. I'm not throwing in the towel...

i possibly agree but have faith in Gase ...but, he has only so much say. it's disheartening to say the least and i have been a fan for 40+. To lose these two games is usual operating procedure, come out cold, play from behind and win when it doesn't matter.

Same old story... We'll pull off some games late in the season and make things interesting giving us hope... Then we'll fall on our face like we always do.

not to mention win enough to push us out of draft reach for a superstar although they would screw that up too. edit: I'm being to rough, Tunsil was the right pick and they didn't miss there although others were question marks.

Maybe.

But if Kenny Stills makes that easy deep ball catch, and if DeVante Parker & Tannehill connect on that final endzone pass, everyone would be raving about how the 2-0 Dolphins just beat Seattle & New England on the road, and thus are headed to the Super Bowl.

Two catches are what separate us from 2-0 euphoria and 0-2 misery.

Even if Parker caught that final pass there were no guarantees they'd win the game.

As for the OP, thanks for the thread. Sure I didn't have to come in here and comment but since I'm here I will. Was this thread really necessary? It seems more like an internal thought you had rather than one where we'd debate the actual content.

normal dude maybe. I'll agree on Seattle but a win against the Pats if it came down to that last ball would have been a very ugly win and I would feel the same. If Brady was there 4 quarters and we overcame and win different story but that bum...moral victory at best if we pulled it out.

Are you serious? This is the same mentality I got from the folks a few years ago when we started 0-7 and ended up 6-10...they said, "we were only 3 wins away from the playoffs." 1. Seattle isn't that good a team and has a bad OL. 2. If it wasn't for the Pats being down to their 3rd string QB...they slap 50 on us. Get real!

Even though I think we're a 6 to 8 win team, I don't think we're a disaster. I just think we're in a rebuild mode that most don't want to admit. We have some key pieces but we also need to upgrade some positions as well. And I'm not 100% sold on Gase yet, but am not going to trash him based on a couple games that were within reach.

Nice, another thread about how much the The Fins suck 2 weeks in... Get a ****ing grip people... If this was week 10 and the team was performing like **** I get it, but there have been some positives.... The team is far from pathetic, and if pathetic is all you see you're ignorant

The Dolphins are simply reinforcing over the last two weeks what the fans have suffered through season after season. No matter how many style points they get, they still can't beat quality teams on the road. And it's arguable if Seattle is quality right now. And they have looked eerily similar in their two losses this year as they have in their past failures under previous coaching regimes. Dropped passes, erratic Tannehill, inability to convert short yardage situations, poor tackling, starting slow on offense, starting slow on defense, finishing slow on defense, lack of discipline on special teams, etc...outside of the ultimate goal of winning, fans want to see something new and exciting to hitch their wagon to. All I can get excited about is somewhat improved pass blocking. The fact that Tannenbaum is running the show is the elephant in the room that inspires little faith that this organization can truly turn it around even with incremental improvements on the field. People talk of being 3 good drafts away. Unfortunately they create so many holes for themselves, by the time oneposition is patched up, another position springs a leak.

They are not good, but they lost two hard fought games, away, to tough teams...I don't think that qualifies for a disaster.
