Scared to run, that is. The rushing attempts quickly disappear as soon as the phins are trailing, particularly in the second half of games. I can remember several close games when the runnning game was not abandoned that kept score close, wore the defense down, and even resulted in some big gains. At this point I think the old poopstache regime may have gotten us a couple more wins. We never trashed the running attack in the old days just because we were down by 10 points.
I'm not offering any solutions to our current losing trend. I just feel that the team gets unraveled when playing from behind. Could be the play calls.

I was unaware the players were calling the plays and getting away from the run game.

You cant call a team scared and use that as any sort of evidence, that has NOTHING to do with them

It IS the play calling if the team isnt running the ball more as you would like.

Well, everyone is part of the team, coaches included. How's this instead: The coaches are scared and it rubs off on the team. If a coach loses confidence in a player then the player may start to doubt their abilities as well.

I think there are playcalling problems, but it seems like there is also a lack of confidence on the part of most of the offensive players in the game plan. I think Harrington and Welker are the notable exceptions to that rule and that Brown may also be an exception. I think it's pretty obvious that Chambers and McMichael don't believe in it, though.
