Never in all my 40 years of being a dol-fan have I ever seen anything like this. A team so adept at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I dont even care so much about a super bowl anymore, I would settle for relevevance.

Then again, maybe we should hire that coach Ozzie form the Whitesox. Our record couldnt get any worse, but the post-game press conferences sure would be alot more entertaining.

Maybe if someone breaks the record and have a perfect season the curse will be broken


how else can you explain having one of the top 3 QB in league history and only see one superbowl........
 
It feels like we have a lot of bad luck, but you notice that when you start losing. The Dolphins were solid contenders for over 3 decades, what we're seeing now is the result of poor drafting, poor coach selections, and a failure to make getting a franchise quarterback a priority.
 
The only thing this team is cursed with is over-inflated ego's and stupidity in the higher ups.. Its been that way since Wanny took over the helm..

1974-sea of hands-Clarence Davis catches winning TD on 4th down eliminating the Fins
1978-Oilers scored 10 points in the 4th quarter eliminating the Fins
1982-John Riggins runs for TD on 4th down in Super Bowl eliminating the Fins
1983-Seattle scored 10 points in the 4th quarter eliminating the Fins
1984-S.F. thrashes the defense in Super Bowl for over 500 yards.
1985-N.E rushes for over 250 yards in AFC championship eliminiating rematch with vaunted Bears
1990-Buffalo piles up almost 500 yards eliminating the Fins
1992-win last 3 games to get home field advantage then lose to Bills at home with 5 turnovers.
1994-Dolphins blow 21-6 lead in San Diego after locker room light go out during halftime.
1995-Bills eliminate the Dolphins with 500 plus yards of offense. Shula sent packing
1997-dolphins get robbed by refs in final game of season vs NE forcing them to play NE on the road in playoffs.
1998-Bronocs thrash the Fins after dramatic playoff win vs Buffalo.
1999-Dolphins suffer worst playoff defeat ever a week after breaking 20 plus year playoff road losing streak. Marino gone.
2000-Dolphins shutout in playoffs by raiders after 90 yard pick 6 turns the game in the early going.
2001-Raven shutdown the wounded Dolphins roster.
2008-Miami commits 5 turnovers vs Ravens after commiting 13 all season long.

These are just the Playoff failings. There are a whole bunch of regular season wounds that run deep including the Browns game last week.

In 2012 will be the 13th year marino retired. The mediocrity should continue until 2014

It's the curse of skinny Tony. Think about it. 2008 Tony Sparano is a fat *** and we go 11-5. He then dedicates himself to lose some weight and we go 14-21. If he was still fat we would be contenders right now.

fat coaches get more respect? i blame the ryans for this phenomena
 
interesting nobody is commenting
on a possible hex on the dolphins
i dont think it is a coincidence
that the dolphins choke up victory's
better than any team in professional sports
 
It's the curse of Hootie! Ever since Marino appeared in that damn video with that stupid "the Dolphins make me cry line" our team has been cursed.
 
too much change and underwhelming coaching. too many timing issues. this year was player strike. handicapping our new O.

lets face it, its a new O with new changes at LOS and some guys need more time to get it.

D is lazy from no offseason and not playing a whole lot in preseason. not in shape. collecting paychecks.

I would like to keep everything the same but HC and GM. Ireland has done well by himself IMO but the fans are too overinvested in total cleanup......again. it will take forever to be great.

I say move out of florida. market sucks.
 
All the Fins needed was a great running game and defense during the Marino era... nothing the Fins had during his era until the following year after he retired.
 
I think the whole team should go to church together on Sunday during the bye week
