Where do we even start at? This team has holes all over the place. I have been a fan for over 40 years and yesterday was the first time I actually said, "Why do I do this every week".

Rashad Jones - looks like he lost a step

The corners seem to give up that 3rd down pass every time. Probably not true but it feels like it.

Linebackers are always in chase mode in seems like

Lawrence Timmons - looked bad

Cam Wake - turned into a 60 year old man overnight - ok one sack yesterday but he is not a consistent threat anymore - not his fault - father time got him

Charles Harris - he is a rookie, so I give him pass

O Line is not consistent

QB - throwing in the dirt, off back foot, missing reads, etc.. Took him forever to see Julius Thomas over the middle wide open

Julius Thomas looks like he has on cement shoes

Fasano - why isn't he being used more???????????????

Kenyan Drake - appears to be ready to contribute but coaches not getting him in the game enough, the few plays he has it appears he is trying too hard and losing yardage - sideline to sideline runs

Play calling would be better if they drew it in the dirt

Well I am definitely disappointed in virtually the entire team, coaching staff included, except for the WR's. This is certainly the earliest I've seen a team look ready for the off season. Gase will return in 2018 as he should. Dealing with the Tannehill and McMillan injuries has been crushing. The storm, the travel sure it's been made even harder. They are excuses but also reasons. San Diego and Baltimore are going through a similar struggle with so many of their players missing.

Clearly a lot of things have to be figured out for the future of this team and getting our starting QB back in 2018 is one of them. He masked some deficiencies last year but all QB's do that.

Nothing we can do but ride it out. If we are picking top 3, 5-10 goes a long way to determining our future direction.

This will be the most important draft since 2012.

It is what is and whiskey certainly helps.

It needs one thing ..... a good COACH. Teams that have them excel. See Rams Bills Steelers Patriots. We have a dud. Hes no better than Philbin or Cameran.

We have a horrible nickel CB for playing so much nickel. Hopefully the coaches saw that Tank is ready & he will replace McCain on obvious passing downs!

McCain gave up like 10 catches yesterday for like 97 yards from what i was reading just horrible.

To OP right now I'm putting all the blame on the offense. They've done nothing to help out the defense. Also I want to mention I felt the refs dictated the game in the first half. I mean Wake was held a lot through out the game and how many calls went his way. Relax guy!

After watching as much of the game as I could take yesterday, it does look like the team needs a complete rebuild.

The big question, though, is how much better would the team be doing with Tannehill? Would he have taken off and played like he did after the first five games last year? If so, you've got to think Miami is at least competitive in the two losses. Cutler has looked like a bottom tier quarterback. There's just no sugar coating that.

Moving forward, I think the quarterback question has to be answered first. If the Dolphins end up picking top 10, which looks likely right now, do they draft a quarterback if they see that guy as a potential long-term upgrade over Tannehill?

I think the team also needs to look at schemes, putting the final pieces together on the offensive line and rebuilding the back seven. The front office also needs to be in front of the older players like Suh , Jones and Wake and look for their eventual replacements.

Finally, how Gase navigates through this season will say a lot about whether he's the right guy. Didn't think that would even be a question after last year.

Agreed! Too many people thought that Gase was a Guru because of his time in Denver. Please, that was all Manning. Manning was the OC; do you really think Gase told Manning what to do? Manning even made J Thomas look good.

I have to agree 100% with this post.

The O keeps the D in bad spots frequently.
I think the D is holding opponents to 3.1 a carry.
They held the Saints to 20 and just a field goal at the half.
This is not a shutdown defense but the O has only put up 1 score in the last 8 quarters.

Looks like I'm a loner here. QB? Miami has one - Tannehill. Many here won't like it, but comes back next year and Miami WON'T spend a R1 pick on a QB. At worst, he's better than Cutler.
D? Doing pretty well with Lippett and McMillian out. Yes, McMillan is an unknown, but Miami won't draft a R1 MLB. CBs are poor but all who are honest know ANY pass rush would help. Where is it? That, I can't answer. Tank looks promising as does X. Jones, to me, looks better every week. And, yes, Wake is a short-timer. And this is a D that held NO to 13, until exhaustion took over. A LOT of holes on D? Nah. My perception of biggest need is slot corner.
On O? THAT is a different story, but most of those needs are actually questions. What of Gray? Give him snaps. Let's see what's there. No, that doesn't mean TE isn't a need but I don't think the need is TWO TEs. OG? Asiata is the question. Again, let him play. Does Miami need one or two. OC? To me, this is a need. If Pouncey makes it through this year (doubtful), he won't make it through next year.
Bottom line? On O, Tannehill is back. We can discuss need in theory, but the reality is, he's back. One TE, one OG, OC . . . MAYBE. I'd like another power back, but that's just me. On D, a Wake replacement, one OLB, one boundary CB, one slot corner, one FS. Even then, sans McCain, the D as a unit is playing well. Certainly, 3rd and long is a problem, but overall, not bad.

Cam's been overdue to decline for several years now. It's really impressive he's still playing as well as he is. Team's asking for trouble to lay their entire pass rush on a man entering his late 30s.

It doesn't help the team that they're grossly overpaying mediocre talent or trading away draft picks. We're not set up all that well to improve our talent.

Have to disagree. We have talents in wr and rb. OL with now Pouncy playing, average among others. Culter, beisde Brees, Brady, Rogers and a hand full in the top ten, is in the middle of the pack. TE, if cut Thomas and using Fasano and Gray, will be OK.

Defense as a whole, the points we gave up with zero offensive production, deserves a passing grade.

We need better coaching, pure and simple.

Not happy with Cutler. He just doesn't seem to want to execute the offense. However, I am not sure we don't have some decent players on our squad. I will say this. I am not sure why, but our guys seem distracted, unmotivated, and unfocused. It's clear, other teams have more WANT TO than we do right now.

You are 100% wrong about everything you said about the defense. Jones hasn't lost a step, Timmons was great yesterday. Harris was good yesterday. Wake is fine. And the corners with Maxwell off the field were very good for the most part.

You are 100% right about what you said on the offense.
