I have been against purging our veterans and going strictly to the young guys, but after today, my position has wavered. This team quit. Plain and simple. They quit after one play. Their heads weren't into it and they played worse than most high school football teams. The effort was lousy and the players, if they had any pride, should feel ashamed of themselves.

It is time for Saban to stop with the pleasantries about how this team is almost there. They clearly have bad influences on this team that has trickled down to the young guys. Thank god for Zach, Ronnie and Ricky. Otherwise, you would have seen an even worse beatdown.

Players like Sam Madison, Gus Frerotte, Sage Rosenfels, and Reggie Howard need to go. They bing nothing to the table and are actually hindering the progress of other players and their team. I have never seen a group of uncaring lazy football players. Gus Frerotte actually had the gall to say that him missing a day or two of practice isn't going to hurt him due to he being in the league forever. Well, based on the way he has played throughout his tenure here, perhaps Gus should be practicing doubletime instead.

Sam Madison, ho's play has drastically fallen off this season, has been rumored to be out partying, is beat constantly, creates dumb penalties and has never been a "team" player just needs to go.

Reggie Howard has been nothing but a mistake since the get go. We all know his days are numbered in Miami. I just hope that number is in the single digits now.

and Sage? Well, he was never really any good to begin with. As always, the most popular guy on the team is the backup QB, until he gets into the game anyway. The Sage Rosenfels experiment is over and done with.. He has no place on this team and will surely be gone at the end of the season.

Nick Saban needs to regain control and get mad. He needs to send a message to everyone that he will not tolerate this. He will not tolerate a team giving up on itself, him or their fans. If he doesn't do something about it, you will start to see everyone else give up on him.

The worst part about it is that solid veterans like Taylor, Thomas, Seau and Carter on the defense deserve better and may want to leave as well. I wouldn't blame them at all. Today was, I think, one of the worst games I have ever seen in my life.

Good post. It's pretty bad that Frerotte with a swollen finger played better than Sage. Sam hasn't had an INT in how many years? He drops one given to him.

i think thier has to be a way to spark them not sure what it is but thier has to be a way....

Saban needs a Parcells type interview......just rip the effort...and promise some changes...and then deliver them.

Great post. This isn't the first time this team has quit. I think they are very overated. The receivers stink and can't catch anything thrown to them. The defense can't stop a third down conversion if there life depended on it. The playcalling is non-exisitent on this team. Very ugly loss and it will get much worse before it ever gets better. Madison stinks to high heaven.

Like what was said long BEFORE the season: This entire roster will have to be rebuilt before the Dolphins will ever compete for a Super Bowl.

Madison might be gone this offseason. The money situation makes it a real possiblity they'll eat the bonus money and not have to pay that salary. If he's not due a roster bonus before then I'd expect a June 1 cut.

Yeah thats a real fair comparison. News to ya. Gus played just as bad as Sage did. And he has has 12 yrs at it. i don't know if i can say the same about Sage yet but I do know he hasn't been in league for 12 yrs showing he is nothing more than a backup. Now maybe Sage isn't the answer but I still want to see
if he can come back after a game like this.

As for Sam i think he is going to be replaced eventually anyways. He is still probably the best we got at the position right now.

Sage has a game this bad and you're defending him? He's been a backup under 4 different coaches now. If he was any good, he'd have done something by now. They both suck but Gus played better and that isn't saying much.

No I was not defending him. But you saying gus played better with a bad finger.
gus didn't play anybetter. if he had we would have had some scores or moved the ball with him at qb. He hasn't done a whole lot of that all season. So since we are losing anyways why not stick with the younger guys. Sage for a few more and then see what lemon has if he looks like he is ready.

AMEN TO THAT! Coach clearly needs to go to the woodshed with these fools! Getting shutout in the NFL is one thing...but to LAY DOWN???...Nick best go Howard Beal at the next press con...("I'm mads as hell, and I'm not gonna take it anymore!")
