So its tuesday, game over, and I've slept on it. I thought a lost would be a heart breaker for me but it wasnt for some reason. here are a few of them...

-Henne played very well, I know its only one game but if he can play 16 games like that in a season, we're going to win most of them.
-The OL was far from being the liability I thougt it would be, take out the 2 holding calls against Incog and they played well enough to give us a chance to win every week.
-Reggie Bush ran between the tackles and had some success, with the way the score was going up every 10-15 minutes, we kind of abandonned the run, no biggie because Henne moved the chains throwing the ball without any brain cramps.
-Fasano played great, except for the holding call.

I'm confident this morning, we didnt lose because our OL cant block to save their life, or because chad Henne brainfarted his way to INTs and fumbles, our because we didnt have a seam threat... losing because of those points wouldve been somewhat troublesome as we wouldnt have any way to adjust at this point in the season.

We lost because our defense couldnt get off the field wich resulted in players cramping up leaving depth players on an island against Tom Brady. I beleive this wont happen again, at least to that extent. The defense CAN adjust, they have the pieces. But please sign Will Allen because Nolan Carroll and Benny Sapp cannot have any kind of an extended role in a game.

The defensive performance was dreadful, but its against an offense that's been in tune for years now. Week 1, ill panick when this becomes routine.

Who had outstanding defense this week? For the most part, maybe the Ravens. I think the defenses are way behind the offense this year at this point. Even defenses that were supposed to be elite had problems. Quarterbacks all over the league were lighting it up... things will settle down and then the Dolphins can see what they've got on defense... I'd give it a few games.

You do realize that the Pats D is very, very suspect, right? Your Fins didn't play the Ravens or Bear last night. If your OL looked decent, that's probably because the Pats don't have a great pass rush.

Henne did look pretty decent, but he seems to suffer from the same problem that many pretend NFL QB's suffer from: lack of red zone TDs. I'm not sure why that is, but the good QBs around the league lead their teams to scores from down in close while the not-so-good ones just don't. Maybe it's the QBs themselves or maybe the coaches lack faith in them, and so call "safe" plays that always seem to backfire.

Moreover, getting rid of both Ricky and Ronnie leaves the Fins without a top notch RB except for Bush. He's pretty good, but he's not going to hold up carrying the ball 20+ times a game, especially between the tackles. Henne is NOT that good a QB to carry a primarily passing offense.

The Fins lost because Brady hung up 500+ passing yards on your defense. The way to beat NE is to beat up on Brady. He's got to be threatened every single series and knocked down at least once every other series. He's got to be rattled, hurried, and made gunshy, and the Fins failed to do that. Don't get after Brady, and he'll pick apart any secondary.

I wouldn't say that the Fins are going to win "alot of games". They are clearly NOT up to challenging the Pats. They might be up to challenging the Jests, but more than likely, the Fins and Bills will be challenging each other to stay out of the AFCE basement ... again.:boohoo:

Yeah this team will win alot of games....in Madden 12

I feel if we played many other teams other than the Patriots.. and we would've won the game.

But the Pats are a great baramoter on how far we need to go.

Ok? Henne threw for two and ran for one and was 1/2 yard away from a third. That is not lack.

The Bills had excellent D this past week. They held last year's top running offense to 108 yards on the ground, and about 200+ yards of total offense overall. They forced 2 TOs, 2 sacks, and held KC to 1 score. For the Bills, who finished dead last last year in run defense, this is a major, major accomplishment. They started a rookie at DT (Dareus) and ended up playing their 2nd round rookie CB (Aaron Williams) a lot because of an injury to Terrence McGee.

The Fins gave up 500+ passing yards. That's unlikely to be repeated, but it really should be a source of concern, even if it was to Brady and the Pats. The Pats had a rookie playing RT, a recent acquisition (Waters) playing RG, and lost their starting center during the game, yet Brady had all night to find targets. The Fins need more pass rush than simply Cam Wake.

If games were switched, the Dolphins would have beaten Dallas and KC while the Bills and Jets would have been spanked by the Pats. That team was a freakin machine last night.

As much as i hate to say this, The Bills are going to be better then us...... We are worse then they are right now.

As much as i hate to say this The Bills are going to be better then us...... and Circling the Wagons is Dead On with what he said. We will be forth in the division.

We are right now. lol

Yes, after one game in wich they played KC while we played the Super Bowl favorites... Makes perfect sense...

I agree. I have no illusions about the Bills winning "a lot of games" this season. I think they'll win 5 -- or maybe 6 since I didn't think they'd beat KC.

OTOH, Fin fans can't take solace that their OL isn't as bad as thought just because the Pats didn't crush it. They also have to be concerned that their DL couldn't get to Brady despite NE's OL issues. It's one game, and the opener at that, true. But it's silly for a poster to make the claim that the "Fins will win alot of games" based on the idea that the Fins offense wasn't as bad as expected, considering that the Fins D was thoroughly thumped by the Pats in that game.
