First, let me state I like what we have done so far (minus Henne). With that said, this is weakest draft I can remember. McFadden is about the only guy who wowed me. This draft really lacks a lot of pop. I am glad we had some player available to enhance both lines and move us closer to a 3-4 D. As far as the over all draft, it feels like the 1st round was like the second or third round in past drafts....IMHO

In draft without alot of "pop" i'm ok with getting the big uglies.
Run the ball/stop the run...good things happens when you do those things.

i agree with the state of this draft, and i also saw alot of teams reaching badly on players, especially considering who all we saw taken in the first round.

Weakest draft?!?!

You mean as opposed to the mighty 2005 draft?

or 2006?

or 2007?

I think this is one of the better drafts all the way around. Just because it isn't loaded with top QB, WR or CBs doesn't mean it's weak.

It might not be loaded up with "skill position" guys but this is a very deep draft for the guys who will win for you in the trenches. Perfect timing for us really.

Yes, you are both correct, and that is what I was saying. There is a serious lack of QB's, receivers, RB's that blow you away. Yes, this a good draft for us, as we needed trench guys, so I am happy all in all. I still think we could have went DB with the Henne pick, but Parcells is the man!
