The proof is in the pudding (or iguess the stats haha)

Zach 105 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 INT
Brian Urlacher 87tackles, 0 sacks and 2 INTs.

Why does nobody mention Zach. I dont get it. What is with the Urlacher JO fest in the league.

Well stats dont always show everything, I mean Welker has better stats than chambers right now but does that nessesarlly mean he's better?

Welker is better than Chambers.

Its not really a fair comparison. Urlacher is younger than Thomas.

Another horrible comparison.

Yes. I was just about to edit it, too. There, fixed.

Either way, though, comparing players that are not the same age by any stretch of the imagination is not fair. Urlacher's 6 seasons to Thomas' 11. See what I mean?

:sidelol: I was about to post the same thing!

Welker is the best reciever on the team although Booker made a strong case for himself yesterday and Chris Chambers is just non existant.

Because eveybody is so used to Zach Tomas doing this year in and year out.

ok bad example, well just because Larry Jonson has better stats that Ladanian does that mean Larry is better?

It can be. When a 33 year old guy is playing as well if not better than someone who is 7 years younger then him it should say something.

I honestly thing Zach doesn't get much credit for the last few years is cause we haven't dont crap in about 5.

welker catches more passes thrown his way, also welker takes more hits while catching the ball.

Urlacher Is The Media Darling!!
Plain And Simple.
Zack Is A Better Lb V.s. The Run All Day.
But Against The Pass He Gets Beat Quite A Bit.
When Ray Lewis Was In His Prime Ray Lewis Was The Media Darling, Now Its Urlachers Turn, Zt Doesnt Get A Turn Because Now He "too Old"
I Think He Will Play At Least 3 More Years

Wait till Wes makes a pro-bowl to pronounce hes better than Chambers...remember its because CC is such a threat that Wes is even open!

 What age have to do wiht anything? ZT is kicking Url a** in stats. If stat don't mean anything, why having theme in the first play?

Different type of players.

For example look at Donnie Edwards...look at his total number of tackles every year - they're always top 2-3 and lead the entire league a couple of years ago---but yet has never been to a Pro - Bowl.

Why?

Because his tackles are the "clean up" tackles made 2-4 yards after the LOS. By no means am I discrediting him but if we're going based on stats - Donnie and Zack would be considered the best LB's in the game. However, I would take Urlacher over Donnie and Zach without even thinking twice.
