This year the Ravens have made a name for themselves in reguards to tricky gadget plays. We have seen double reverses, flee flickers, and wildcat formations. I am curious to see how the Dolphins will prepare for any fancy stuff thrown at them. I personally think neither team will try anything too fancy, but I definitely wouldn't rule it out. Trust me, the trick plays in the Jags game was done on purpose to give the Miami defensive coordinators a headache. I'm wondering if both teams will be conversative or will we see two teams trying anything to get points on the board.

I think this game is a statement game for both teams. They are definitely going to come out swinging.

We have been able to strike back at opponents that have previously beat us except the Texans. If you have a good coach then you can get far in the playoffs. The fact of the matter is that we are going against another Rookie coach and a red hot defense.

They have done some crazy ****. Pass to Flacco, Pass back to Troy Smith for a hefty amount of yardage.

I think our defense will benefit from practicing against our offense week after week. We run more trick plays than anyone so they should be more than familiar.

Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Too bad nobody else can run the Wild Cat like us. You only saw about 10% of it last game, but you will see a lot more of it come Sunday. Hope Ed Reed and Ray Ray come ready to play with the Big Boys.

Forget the trick plays when it comes to Baltimore. Color me a little skeptical when it comes to stopping the unbalanced line (a Cam Cameron staple with Cory Lekkerkerker in San Diego) and Le'Ron McClain/Willis McGahee gashing us. Nothing tricky, just good, old-fashioned, hard-nosed football. I'm a little concernd as to whether or not our D will hold up.

For all the blustering about Nick Saban, he had it right when he wanted to get Haloti Ngata in that draft. It's unfortunate we'd wasted that 2nd rounder on Culpepper - we lost our trade ammo to move up and ended up gettin Jason Allen instead (at that point Antonio Cromartie would've been nice). Haloti Ngata, if not for Albert Haynesworth, would be getting all those DT headlines.

Miami's D practices against their own offense, I am sure they'll be ready for it. I don't see the Wildcat being used too much this week by Miami, but then again they could have another trick up their sleeve that will be unveiled.

the way to beat Miami is with the spread offense which is what KC ran, but the Ravens dont run the spread. they will rely on the run which will be stuffed. you can't look at week 7 and say anything we didnt have our NT in that game and i would agrue the NT is the most important position in a 3-4

They play a style very similar to ours. I think it is a team that we can beat I am glad (hate to say it) that we are not playing the patsies. I was rooting for the ravens to win. I honestly think at we would have lost to the Patriots, had they made they post season. They were starting to look scary again and would have made the AFC Championship or SB again.

Back to the Ravens, though, it will be a ball control, no mistakes gadget play type of game. A style we play and a style our defense is used to seeing. If we continue with the no mistakes and no turnovers (i.e. no pick six to Suggs the other way), we'll win.

No one runs wildcat like the fins? How'd that work out for you week 7?

Contrary to the OP's opinion, I think both teams will use gadget plays. For instance, I fully expect Jake Long to catch a pass from the wildcat formation this week. Look, it's very very hard to score against Baltimore, so anything odd enough to work once is a very big deal against them. They're the perfect team to use trick plays against.

My only hope is that we can turn those trick plays and whatever turnovers we manage into points. If not, we'll probably lose. :(
