I am one of the biggest fans of Toniu Fonoti. Rumor/statements coming out of the Chargers front office is that they are looking for offers for Fonoti! As much as this upsets me, TRADE FOR HIM- yes even a draft pick! HE IS THAT GOOD!

Fonoti and HH together will be one hell of a combination, again. The guy is young, coachable, and just needs a couple more years to get his head on straight and be committed 120% to the game. Yes, he has had some weight issues, but Fonoti should have easily been in the Pro Bowl last year. However, a couple of linemen out of Kansas City had something to say about that.

He is a road grader! He currently has a broken hand, but that'll heal...ugghh...this upsets me. Not as much as when we let Welker go, but this one will hurt.

I think a draft pick from you guys will get him there.

yeah, but not a 3rd rounder and higher, which rumor has it SD wants.

hes a good player, but there is a reason hes being allowed to seek a trade.

Not for a first day pick as is being rumored. I'd rather wait for him to be a FA next season and hope that the HH connection brings him to Miami.

I think Saban will just wait till the offseason, we all know how much he likes his draft picks

You don't trade for him now unless you have an agreement on a long-term contract extension.

Sweat it out, he'll either be released or become a FA at the end of the year. There really isn't a reason in the world to trade anything of value for him when he will almost assuredly be available for nothing more than a paycheck very soon.

He is not going to be factor this year anyway so lets wait until he becomes a FA.
If Houck likes him and Fonoti like Houck it will happen.

If we can get Hadnot to lose 15 pounds and play center, this could be our lineup next year:

LT -- 1st round pick
LG -- James
C -- Hadnot
RG -- Fonoti
RT -- Carey (assuming he gets his head on straight)

Yeah thats what I think will happen.

I wouldn't mind of offering a 4th rounder for this guy, but we got to give me a contract extension first.

That's a tough decision because this guy does have all the potential in the world to be one of the best G's in the league. He's a monster that can run block like few can in the league. We might want to consider a 3rd round pick for him, I know Saban likes draft picks, but if you can get a young kid that wants to come to Miami and wants to sign a 4 or 5 year deal, I would do it. Can we get a O-lineman like him in the 3rd round of the draft? If not, trade for him.

The problem is, he'll get picked up before being released. Thats the gamble. He will get an offer.
