Per Rotoworld:
Cornerback Shawn Springs is expected to be released by the Redskins.

According to the Washington Post's Jason La Canfora, they could make a play for Dre' Bly and/or Fred Smoot, who was a Redskin before his career was derailed in Minnesota. Springs' 2007 cap number is $7.35 million.

No thanks, he is starting to get old and has already lost a step or two. While he is surely better than anything we have at the position now, I'd prefer to stay away and try somebody younger.

worth at least taking a look at to see how much he will want....probally a lil too old!!

The Dolphins are becoming the Century Village of the NFL.

Good point...Although he is better than anyone we have in our secondary, he is getting old and has been injured the past 2 seasons. We need to get younger, not older...

At the right price, he'd be a great veteran pick up! You've got to be kidding to say you wouldn't want him outright.

I'm talking bargain pricing ... plus, didn't Mueller draft him?

yup him at 3 and jones at the 6th spot in the same draft. what a draft that was for htem.

I am all for you all signing him. I like that your DEF keeps getting older. But then again I am a little biased.

No on a serious note he is too old and injured to often, and too over-rated at this point in his career

2 year stop gap at a good price and then make someone step up and earn the corner spots off him!

Beats having Michael Lehan or Eddie Jackson on the roster again. If he can come at an affordable price, I'd go for it. He'd be a nice stopgap for us.
