After every week of the preseason and mabye the regular season i will make a thread like this discussing the performances of all the players.
So without further ado, here are some of my thoughts of the dolphins week 1 preseason performance vs the jags.

  • Vontae Davis had 3 penalties and didn't make plays, which is okay since ur a rookie and its the preseason but i still expect more from vontae in week 2.
  • Sean Smith was practically the opposite of vontae in this game, he had a big interception, stopping the jags from possibly getting a touchdown or a field goal. Sean had no penalties and it seemed that receivers could not do ANYTHING against him.
  • Chad Henne had an up-and-down game but overall was pretty good, he had an interception and touchdown and was 7/11 with 94 yards.
  • Ernest Wilford caught the first touchdown of the season for the phins, and that might go a little in helping him make the team.
  • Ted Ginn looked very sharp and i am starting to get excited for what he can do, he had 2 or 3 catches and a reverse all for nice gains and also drew a 34 yard penalty from the opposing corner when we were backed up in our endzone.
  • Davone Bess looked like his usual self, no drops. Greg Camarillo had no catches and im not sure if he started the game or not.
  • Ronnie Brown had only 1 carry for 2 yards, nothing to see from that, Ricky Williams looked good and Lex Hilliard also showed some nice stuff.
  • Our O-line looked pretty good, I didn't hear Anythony Fasano's name get called, and pat white looked good running the ball and didn't sail the ball over receivers heads as the media made it seem.
And thats pretty much it, comment below.

Murphy looked really bad in the opening drive. He was directly responsible for the two incompleations due to pressure that he should of picked up. They promptly replaced him with Thomas, who looked excellent.
Our CB depth based on this game should go like this- 1.Allen/Smith 3.Jones 4.Allen 5.Davis 6.Thomas 7.Green
I don't know how, but Chris Williams will make the roster if he keeps returning them like that.

ok i have to say it.man pennys arm just looked weak.teams are going to run blitz right up the middle.stopping the run and creating pressure on penny.we had to go to the dam end around to run the football.the center and guards didnt do much, and i don't expect them to against this style of attacking defense.henne made a mistake on the int.but he threw it well, and all types of throws.i hope this kid is good.we will have to get the lb's back off the line .ronnie will explode when teams have to defend the whole field.anybody that doesnt think that going from the weakest schedule to the stongest doesnt mean something ,are just fooling themselfs.

i saw the game on the Jacksonville tv, and they were almost making fun of how bad the field was... and it was really ugly, it's a shame that we aren't able to play elsewhere.. where the grid-iron is in good conditions...

Baseball sucks!
