Thread Starting Privileges

great idea. the main forum has been a little too nutty as of late. at least it would eliminate weirdos signing up and posting ridiculous porn - that was a little much.

I'd also like to recommend that a user's thread starting privileges be revoked should their reputation take a negative dip. Reputations could act as an Internet IQ. Your reputation is a direct reflection of who you are as a poster here at FinHeaven in the eyes of your peers. That is obvious. Most people who have terrible reputations are the people we are constantly hitting with infractions for the same reasons over and over.

What would be more welcome is a requirement to do a forum search before posting a new thread so we don't end up with nine threads about the same thing.

Take a look in the main board at this guy "Dolmet." He's mysteriously discovered FH, been here 2-3 days and has started at least 3 threads critical of Parcells, questioning Henne's courage and pimping for Thigpen.

The chances are great that he's a jest fan looking to stir the negative **** and do it in a psuedo-sincere way where true fans who tend to be contrarians are agreeing with him. Maybe I'm a born cynic but you don't just join coincidental to the Fins' last game unless there's something fishy (and not our good kind of "fishy") afoot.

I still don't understand how someone can come into FH and immediately have the privilege to start threads whenever and on whatever they want. Again, if someone is a legitimate fan who's found us late, with whatever axes to grind, there are enough related threads started by long-standing posters where he/she can air their thoughts or dissatisfaction as normal posts in many other places!

Hence the bump Admins and mods: 30 days AND 30 posts to begin threads!
