Some good news for our beloved Fins.. Hasn't been much lately

In the first three weeks of the regular season, no player in the NFL has more initial tackles than Jenkins, who the Dolphins have credited with 23. Of all the unexpected developments for the Dolphins so far in the 2014 regular season, the emergence of Jelani Jenkins has to rank at or near the top.

Injuries at linebacker thrust the 2013 fourth-round pick into a more prominent role early in the season and he has responded. In a big way.

“Stats are just showing the hard work that I’ve put in since I got here,” Jenkins said. “I don’t want to change anything that I’m doing moving forward. I’m just going to keep on coming to work every day and everything else will play out. So far it’s played out pretty well.”

Jenkins has been credited with 25 solo tackles from PFF, who do not give half tackles or sacks. More impressive has been that 19 of those have been stops, which is a solo tackle resulting in a failure by the opposing O. Well Done.

He has been balling but id like to see more in the passing game from him, but dont get me wrong hes always involved on tackles which is excelent in my eyes.

He over played some plays that resulted in big gains and TD's so he needs to clean that up.

He gave up 8 catches of 13, for 80 yards, which is good, NFL has him at #7 on 4-3 OLB.

Looks like a steal, and I'm hoping he's manning his spot for years to come!

After the under performance of Jordan, Taylor, Thomas, Davis and the others drafted in the '12 Draft, Jelani could turn out to be one of the few glimmers of hope.

He has lot of tackle no doubt.... But take it with a grain of salt....he is being targeted by other teams. Many of the tackles are coming after big runs or pass in the first two games.....last week he really balled. The sack and a running play that went wide he crushed the ball carrier for a small gain. He is getting more confident. He is kind of smallish but he really is athletic. I hope he keeps getting better.

Echoing the caution on this one. Jenkins has definitely become more than envisioned when he was drafted, but I saw him miss on some run fits last week that allowed Kniles Davis to pick up big yards. I think he'll hit the tape and get that corrected.
