Throw away your mock draft- it's gonna be a CRAZY first round

Just to reiterate, these aren't just my opinions. I'm relaying what a few people in the NFL have told me..

The past is the best indicator of the future, do you really think this guy is going to "change" after he gets handed 10-20 million dollars GURANTEED? If anything his partying will get even worse.......

Calling it now.

Texans draft Clowney.

Keeping him will be the interesting part. Manning/Rivers trade flash backs.

Won't be surprised when Texans take Clowney, then Falcons pick is traded for Clowney along with the rest of the Falcons draft.

You cannot change the stripes of a leopard...

i agree on manziel a lot of red flags now...the guys even making videos on jet skis etc that many will say what's the harm in that but it's not carrying yourself in a way that the face of the franchise ie the qb is suppose to...

i think there's too much show here...doesnt mean he wont get drafted high cause he can damn sure sell tickets but it just further reiterates for me why i would not as a gm put my job on the line with that qb...

I loved Manziel the college player and had no problem wit his "antics" as he was acting like any other 20 year, only he was doing it with the added bonus of fame. I do think that during the draft process he should have toned it back and made an effort to show teams he was ready to commit to being a team number 1 QB. I'm not sure his skill set will transfer to the NFL, but it should be entertaining none the less.

.

I thought that was a really cool way to practice. You can use the machine to mimic a fast receiver such as a Mike Wallace and throw in some extra elements like wind and it seems like a great (and fun) way to hone your skills.

Just thought I would post some things I'm hearing..
Top 10

Expect at least 2 trades in the top 10. Most likely to move back are Houston, St. Louis, Oakland, and Tampa. Some teams that may move up are Detroit, Buffalo, Atlanta, San Francisco.
QBs
Bortles
- practically a top 10 lock. Oakland, Tampa, Minnesota are the most likely destinations..
Carr- don't be shocked if he's the #1 QB taken. Serious interest by Cleveland at #4. Also real intertest from Oakland, Tampa, and Minnesota.
Manziel- wildcard.. could go top 10 or fall till the end of the first and a team could move up from their 2nd round spot to move back into the first.
Savage- could go higher than Bridgewater.. if I told you that 3 months ago you would think I was crazy.. New England is a team to watch at the end of the first, but he will likely go at the top of day 2
Bridgewater- good chance he ends up out of the first round completely
RBs
again won't be a #1 pick this year.. Hill or Hyde are teams #1 rated back
Players who may fall out of round 1
CJ Mosley, Dee Ford, Kony Ealy, Louis Nix, Marqise Lee
Players who may rise to round 1
Joel Bitonio, Weston Richburg, Demarcus Lawrence, Morgan Moses, Cody Latimer, Kyle Fuller, Bradley Roby

Just know most teams draft boards are very different from the media.. Look no further than Travis Frederick (which turned out to be a good pick) and EJ Manuel last year.. this is going to be the most unpredictable first round in a very long time. Will be interesting to see how things play out..

Any insight on what it would take to trade up from 19 with Oak?

Except he was the clown riding the jet ski and playing receiver. If I'm a GM and I see a potential round 1 QB and potential top 10 pick acting like an idiot before we give him millions I'd cross him off. No thanks, he can do that with another team. NFL players have died playing around on jet skis, and trying to catch a football while playing with said jet ski the guy is dangerous and doesn't have the correct makeup or mindset to be a franchise QB. Great college QB but I'm not sure he has the ability, arm strength or build to make it in this league very long with his play style.

1. Mosely/MLB

2. Hill/RB

3. Gabe Jackson/G

4. Loucheiz Purifoy/CB

5. Billy Turner/JaWuan James/ RT

6. Huff/ WR

7. Jay Prosch/ FB

How many of those guys are Quarterbacks??????

Quarterbacks are held to a higher standard..

That's a HUGE red flag. It shows' he doesn't take his responsibilities seriously. Then add in the fact that he has the Tebow factor (on ESPN literally every single day). He's thrown out 100 opening pitches at baseball games, every basketball game I ever watch, he's sitting courtside. He was just at the Final Four and the Masters. He's everywhere but at home resting, and studying film.

The NFL is a LONG season.. 4 pre-season games, 16 regular season games, and that doesn't even count the ones that truly matter.

If it was ANY other position, it would be a very minor negative, but a negative nonetheless.

We are talking about a QUARTERBACK. The only position that will get both a Head Coach AND a GM fired. As well as the entire coaching staff, and scouting department. I know of *multiple teams* that won't risk the entire fate of their coaching and scouting staffs on him for the aforementioned reasons. I'm not gonna take that anywhere else because it's the absolute truth. The guy parties too much and is more worried about being a celebrity than a successful starting quarterback. That's a fact.

I will say this though, if not for the off the field issues, I believe he would be the best quarterback in the draft. Ultimately, his Hollywood, partying lifestyle will catch up to him and he's going to crash and burn. He will be out of the NFL by 2019. Ryan Leaf 2.0

So him having money is a negative. People act like NOT being on TV means you ARE in the film room. People with your line of thinking are essentially saying we KNOW Andrew Luck is in the film room because he is NOT sitting court side.

If Manziel is courtside at the Heat game and Bortles is at home watching it on his couch eating hot dogs what the hell does it matter but nah lets go ahead and pretend that every QB who isn't on TV is in the film room watching game tape. Those guys don't have fun or downtime obviously because we don't hear about it.

Wouldn't risk my job on any of them.. But if I had to I'd go with Carr's right arm. It's special and you can't teach arm talent

I would think #19, #50, and #81.. or #19 #50 and 4th and 5th this year. Last year wasn't as expensive cause it was a really weak draft and Oakland wanted DJ Hayden no matter what.
