It's Monday morning and it wasn't a dream! Our Dolphins physically beat up the powerful Buffalo Bill Football team. I don't know about anyone else but for me everything is better when the Dolphins win. I walk around smiling all the time, air is fresher, flowers smell sweeter and even Donald Trump, who is a bad hombre, seems less bombastic and downright likable! We did it the old fashioned way, we won with a punishing ground game and a smart, physical defense. Jay Ajayi, a 5th round pick, is suddenly the hottest runner in the NFL, and accomplishing things on the field that even the great Adrian Peterson never has done. The J-Train blasted through holes in the vaunted Bill's defense, ripping off runs for 10, 12, 8, before busting the bigger runs later in the game. The final tally was 214 yards! WHAT!! 2 weeks in a row over 200 yards!! Jay Ajayi joined legends like Earl Campell, O.J. Simpson and Ricky Williams in the back to back 200 yard club. I couldn't help but think of Don Shula's Dolphins, with Larry Czonka, running behind a big, talented line, churning yardage against opponents who were gasping for air in the 4th quarter. Names like Little, Langer, Kuch etc, punishing teams on the way to 2 Super Bowls. Mix in the cerebral QB Bob Griese, who in the 1972 Super Bowl was 8 of 11 passing with a TD and it was a very winning formula. Ask Ryan Tannehill to put the team on his back and win the game for you, it probably won't happen. But ask him to manage a surgical attack with the J-Train pounding the rock and add in an efficient air attack that features Jarvis Landry and company and you may have something. Has Coach Adam Gase stumbled upon a winning formula that might just get us in the Playoffs? It's way to early to tell but going into a by week with 2 straight wins over excellent teams says that things are better than they've been in a long time here in Dolphinland!!! Hey, I'm walking around smiling!! Are you?
