Does today's mean they are throwing in the towel on this season? Or does Gase believe the team will win more games without Ajayi?

I don't think Gase would be willing to throw in the towel. If what he said the other day is true about effort and Ajayi not knowing the plays, I think we may be better. Will we run the ball better, I don't think so, but maybe we will be able to open the playbook a little more. Guess we'll see. It just didn't sound like 1 guy that was the problem. I think there are still more guys on the offense that are hurting this team, effort wise.

Miami is not throwing in the towel. Indy is throwing in the towel. We are right where most of us figured we’d be after we lost Tannehill, better in fact.
Obviously this Ajayi issue has been building for some time. I saw some tweets today saying that the Dolphins planned to move on from him in the offseason anyway, and getting a 4th rounder today was just a bonus. As shocking as this was initially, in hindsight it’s not too surprising. Aside from his 200 yard games last year he hasn’t been incredibly productive. And his lingering knee issues were probably part of the equation for Miami.

I don't know, I'm thinking we may go from 8 in the box to 8 db's. I have serious doubts we could run on that defense little less throw. We may score some points vs Oakland but I'm guessing we'll have at least 3 more shutouts this season (some combo of NE, Buff, KC)

Perry is a big guy, I think he is most likely to take over a lot of Ajayi's duties if we don't add another RB.

Who's running the ball? Drake? Please! Write this season off. Amazing how a QB can go down and the whole team falls like a pack of cards. Anybody that thinks we are in playoff hunt is in cloud cuckoo land.

That’s usually how it goes. Only New England would be fortunate enough to get injured and fall into TB12.
Senorise Perry is a sleeper right now who could burst onto the scene in a big way. Hes everything Ajayi isnt in Gase's eyes.

Based on? Gase hasn't used him. Considering Ajayi in his opinion was expendable I'm struggling to see where the Drake love is coming from? Gase is shoving him in by default.
