Last year L'ville beat Rutgers 56-5. And it wasn't even that close!!!! Rutgers prior to the game last year went to the 50 yard line, stomped on the Cardinal (like Miami did this year). L'ville got all worked up, then went out and destroyed Rutgers.

And I guess from reports L'ville still hasn't forgot that pre-game junk Rutgers was doing and they want to lay it on them good once again.

So, any notion that L'ville will have a "letdown" after this past weeks big game, throw that out the window. L'ville hates Rutgers!!!

I have a lot of confidence in U of L. I see them coming out and mauling the heck out of Rutgers fully. The Cards beat down Rutgers last season and hopefully doing the same this year will prove any doubters in the voting polls that Louisville deserve to be in the national championship.

as much as i'd like rutgers to win this game, i can see lousiville putting up 40 and winning by 3 TD's here. no one can stop them.

Yeah, as much as I like Rutgers' story this season, I just don't think they're there quite yet. I know they have a much improved defense and a good RB, but I don't think they can out score U of L.

I'd have to agree with the 3 TD margin.

Don't you agree motivation, hate and revenge can be a two way street? Sorry, but you talk as if Louisville will be the only team with something to prove on the field Thursday.

This game is gonna be alot closer than some of you seem to think it will be.

Well, Rugters was the one who went on the 50 and stomped on the Cardinal and showed the disrespect.

It isn't a 2 way street in this instance

And Rutgers proceeded to get humiliated in front of a National TV audience by 51 points, so yes it is.

they got beat by 51 points because louisville is that much better.

51 points better? Com'on, Rutgers got their ***** kicked because they tried to show up a VERY good Louisville team in their house. Louisville was a much better team last year than Rutgers but not 51 points better and they are also probably better than Rutgers again this year but not by the blowouts some people are trying to suggest.

rutgers has a very good defense. I would be surprised if this is a blowout.

Rutgers defensive philosophy should be recognizable to alot of folks here on these boards, it's very reminiscent of Miami's which shouldn't come as a surprise since Schiano was once the defensive coordinator for the 'Canes. They rely more on speed and athleticism instead of size and power, much like Miami.

I don't think anyone can stop Louisville....too many weapons.

Actually in defense of Rutgers, they didn't stomp on the Bird on purpose. They punted to the 50 and then had a huddle. U of L took it as disrespect. Not like Miami or East Carolina who did it on purpose and then got dismantled. Miami got lucky that Brohm got hurt, U of L would have hung at least 40 on them. East Carolina's QB had to be taken for an MRI after the game because he got planted in the turf so many times.

Don't get worked up because these people feel and WANT Rutgers to lose.(and lose badly). Let's just wait and see how Rutgers does.I'm sure they are not afraid to leave the locker room when the time comes.
