miami herald is where I got all this info but here it is in a nutshell.

mare news....

Seems he's starting to get a little annoyed with the time it is taking to find a possible trade for him or for us to just plain release him.
saints, brown, falcons and giants all showed initial interest but none have shown up at our doorstep with a trade we would accept.
If we keep him out of minicamp the NFLPA is likely to shake there finger at us, so that will speed up us either finding a trade or releasing him.
We did give him his 250K roster bonus to buy us some more time to do so though.

attended drew stantons workout

followed by a few things we should all know by now.

cam is calling his own plays and we have no specific OC.
mularkey is the tight ends coach... bet he's thrilled with the demotion. LOL
cam won't be at the nfl's annual meetings, he had planned a family vacation before being hired by us so wayne said take your vacation.

and last but not least schlesinger passed his physical and signed on the dotted line.

It's great to wake up every morning knowing the miami herald is just outside your door steps :)


Anyway i hope all of this is leading up to the big trade with Cleveland.
 
Sounds like that trade deal for Mare with the Browns has cooled off, if it were ever heated up in the first place. We will probably just have to release him.

I wonder if they would keep him and trade him later in the season? Teams are always looking for kicks throught the season, due to injury and poor performance.
 
Is Feely an enhancing upgrade or a lateral one? Would it have been better to sing a free agent kicker from college or to use a 7th on the kicker from UCLA? Justin Medlock from UCLA looks extremely impressive based on his workouts. Quick motion, powerful, looked accurate. Why not take a chance on the kid?

Funny I got annoyed with the time it took him to hit a meaningful field goal. Thanks for the news.

that made me giggle.

quite a bit actually.



as for medlock... he looked impressive at the all star challenge.
but his kickoffs aren't that great, distance and hangtime wise.
but I think he has nailed close to 80% for his career.
although I think last year helped quite a bit, he was 26 of 30.
He did get a dui either last year or the year before too... not that I give a hoot, but somebody might.

he does run like a 4.9 40, so maybe his stock will drop a bit. LOL j/k

BTW: Kicker from UCLA is nails-on...but, we already have two already on the roster, dont see a third on the horizon
