Unbelievable. I'm never one for losing to get an edge in a future situation. However, this team is so devoid of top talent at many positions that maybe that is best.

The problem with getting high top picks is a team is so committed to high gaurenteed salaries. This is an issue because it creates too much imbalance in one (or many if a team consistently picks high year after year) player.

Saban still can be THE coach for this team. Unfortunately, much more time is needed. Draft picks and crappy free agent talent have been insufficently available so far for Saban.

But we ARE the worst record-wise now in the AFC at 1-6. Oakland's now 2-5. Plus, three of the teams who are 2-5, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Houston, are teams who beat us.

Way to go, Miami! We're # 1 (in the AFC draft order!)

and our win vs the titans was pre-vince young. to those of you who have said "this team is not as bad as it's record," this team isn't as good as it's 1-6 record. they should be 0-7.

It can't get worse for us can it??? Oh, damn we got the Bears next week.

Hey Dom fix your sig man, line it up even.

No, the Cardinals are 1-7.

But you know what, ARI is one of those teams that can have a higher pick than us because of the fact that they would never take another WR or QB.

We would still be able to draft Calvin Johnson with ARI ahead of us...or entice the team behind us into trading up a spot for Quinn.

So, we would be good with the 1st pick or the 2nd pick. :cooldude:

Even DET won't steal Calvin Johnson from us.

that's why arizona would trade out of that slot if the could

At least the 4-3 stinkin' Jets lost today .... 20-13 to the 1-5 Browns today. :D

I didn't think he could to do it again in the same season, but Chad Pennington managed to get a WORSE Passer Rating in this Browns game than he did in the 41-0 slaughter in Jacksonville a few weeks ago. In the Jacksonville game he got a 28.9 rating. In this Browns game he completed 11 passes out of 28 for a 39.3 completion%, 2 interceptions .... for a whopping 21.1 Passer Rating.

That's pretty bad. It kind of makes you feel pretty good about our quarterback situation .... today anyway. That's almost as bad as Rex Grossman's meltdown in the Bears-Cardinals game on Monday Night Football 2 weeks ago (he got a 10.2 passer rating).

The Jets are a .500 team again .... it's downhill from here I'm sure. Hopefully we can wave to them as they pass by and go back to their customary bottomfeeder status as we climb out of it.

Man I hope we can pull off a huge upset against the Bears next week on TV. If the Cardinals almost did it, then we can. We have to blitz the heck out of Rex Grossman, sack him a few times ... then he'll start to unravel like he did against the Cardinals. We need to score FAST in the FIRST QUARTER get up 10 points or more and then have somebody on offense keep a close eye on Urlacher the entire game. He needs to be contained somehow the entire game.

What are you talking about?

Miami has ONE WIN......the Jets have FOUR WINS. We need three just to tie them.

Do you honestly think that...

a) the Jets won't win again this year

and

b) that Miami will win more than three games the rest of the way?

I wonder where the posters brains are sometimes. :shakeno:
