Trash-talking between players grew into a postgame brawl in the LSU tunnel, and Larry Coker, coach of No. 9 Miami, said two of his players were knocked unconscious. There were shoves and punches between players immediately after the game as the teams left the field by the same tunnel. Georgia State Patrol officers intervened, and minutes later Miami's Andrew Bain, apparently dazed, was escorted by officers back out of the tunnel.

I heard about that as the game ended they said there was an altercation

If I was a Miami player I

1- Would have knocked someone out in that tunnel

2- Would have beheaded skyler green after he called fair catch on a punt later in the game after the fake field goal

Time to fire Coker and bring back Thug U, make teams scared to play us again :fire:

damn that horrible, we get raped in the field and then they KO 2 of our guys hahahah thats sucks

The guys that were knocked out were hit by a helmet swung by an LSU player; Andrew Bain needed 12 stitches to close the gash in his head from that hit. He was also stomped with cleats while he was unconscious on the floor.

Don't be at all surprised if there are charges brought against the LSU player for aggravated assault, and possibly a civil action by the two 'Canes players. I know that if someone who was going to make $ in the NFL bashedmy head with a helmet, I'd be looking to be in their wallet for a few years.

Those are two accounts of the incident; I'll be damned if i can find the account that had the details of the injuries, and identified LSU WR Dwayne Bowe as the assailant. Maybe it was up before, but it was taken down for some reason. I swear I didn't make it up though. I'll keep looking for it.

Finally found it!!!

The incident began with LSU junior receiver Dwayne Bowe, a Miami native, taking a team ball from a Miami ballboy. He ran with it into the tunnel teasing UM's players. UM linebacker Jon Beason and a few other Hurricanes pursued Bowe to retrieve the ball and a skirmish ensued.

UM receiver Khalil Jones was knocked unconscious after being hit in the face with a helmet. He received nearly a dozen stitches to close the cut. Reserve offensive lineman Andrew Bain, a former Ely standout, was also knocked unconscious by a helmet, and while he was down he got stomped on by a cleat.

No arrests were made and Miami's locker room was closed.

Sorry, it was Khalil Jones who had to have stitches.
