hey there,

i was just wondering: what the heck about our tight end position!?

who's going to be our starter/ back-ups there? can we still expect a trade being made in this area or are the relevant fas on this position (if there are any) gone/ out of reach?

cheers from berlin, germany: friedrich

David Martin will start and Justin Peele will be his back up. If they both stay healthy, then they'll be solid starters.

david marten?

who in the world is david marten? looks like i completely missed a free agency acquisition...!? we didn't go for a te in the draft at all, did we - can/ should we feel so comfortable about martin?

justin peele - know him only as the guy who keeps dropping short passes in madden... :sidelol: does he have considerable qualities or is he just a back-up for the sake of having to have one on the roster?

I dont think any team should feel comfortable with a journeyman like Martin at TE, as for Peele he is as mediocre as they come and thats almost a complement with him. I do feel like Cam is confident with what we have beause he ignored TE in draft and Rookie free agents and there were some decent prospects.

tight ends in cam cameron's offensive schemes...

i don't like this... :( in contrast to a lot of people i felt and feel quite comfortable with the choice of ginn and beck... i really don't like having no decent te, though, and then completely ignoring that on draft day...

does the te not have a prominent role in cam cameron's offense schemes...?

Think of martin as a low budget Mcmichael he could be ok, but is injury prone and will not be mistaken for an all pro.

I was praying to God that we would draft Ben Patrick especially since he dropped from being a late 2nd rounder to the late rounds. I thought he would bring much more competition to our TE position but I guess Cameron really loves what he sees in Martin.

i actually think both Martin and Peele can suffice for now..we should be okay for now until somoene gets cut or if Cam wants to bring in a bigger blocking TE like Erron Kinney from Tennessee

okay, so this will be one to watch... what is our depth chart at te? can we expect any wonders from our 2nd and 3rd stringers or are they achieved non-achievers?

Cam knows Offense don't worry he will find the right TE. Remember what he did with Gates. One will come and we will all be happy.

Gates did not take seven years to realize his potential and Gates was an unknown entity, people know what martin is, basically an oversized WR.

man, i REALLY don't like this... a good, reliable te in my opinion is essential to a functioning offense... well, alright, enough of it, let's keep our fingers crossed! :)

Guys this just wasn't a good year for TE's. Graham in free agency and maybe Olsen in the draft, thats about it.

We get our elite TE next year, either in free agency or with a 1st day pick.
