I know this is going to start the great debate. Before I make my picks, I know Lee can block, but is that enough to keep him on the roster in Nick's eyes?

I say
McMichael
Diamond
Rader

Who know if Lee steps it up Saturday, he may have a chance, I just have seen too much lack of concentration that has lead to penalties at key moments that killed drives, and several dropped balls.

I think 90% of the people who post on this board will prolly agree with you..

what about perry?

and really besides catching a couple of tds what has rader really done?

Perry is a TE, but I was just counting him as special teams since we know he isn't going any where. I put Rader down as nick will probably go with youth, and I know Lee isn't old, however I don't know if Nick will be overly impressed with him.

I would like Donald Lee to really step it up these last 2 preseason games, then get traded for a 5th-6th round pick. If he isn't traded I think we'll keep him rather than cut him. He doesn't get paid much (fortunately) so I see no reason to cut him for Rader considering his potential.

I liek the trade idea! It will be interesting to see what Nick is thing with the first cuts coming up very soon!:xii:

yea sound right but not sold on rader yet. he is not bad but lee has reg season games under his belt.

I see your point, and it's well taken. I am just not sure I can go through another season of Lee's mistakes.

I'm honestly thinking Randy McMichael, Donald Lee, and Lorenzo Diamond. I'm rooting for Alex Holmes but I think he and/or possibly Jason Rader will end up on the Practice Squad. Also I definitely think Ed Perry is a lock to make the team just like McMike, but at LS not TE.

my guess....I honestly believe that we keep ALL the TEs, however, 4 will make the active roster )perry being #4 and either Rader, or Holmes will be on the practice squad instead of the 53 man roster. Myself, I'm rooting for Holmes. Even though he's listed as 6'4", I think he's 6'1" on a good day and I'd like to see a guy who's almost as wide as he is tall make it as a TE :)

Minn kept a total of 7 te's between the 53 man roster and the practice squad last season. So I'm guess that us keeping a total of 5 between the two as about right. Minny didn't have the Wr depth that we have so I think that makes up for the difference

To me, what's going to be interesting is what the actual combination of FB and TE that we'll keep is going to be.

One guy who I've been interested in is Ben Moa. I think he fits perfectly into Linehan's H-Back role.

Does anyone have any info on what Moa has been doing? I thought he was hurt during NFLE but it's been so long since I've seen his name in reference to anything I just don't know what's going on......

....Any info guys??

here is a thought to consider ,so here goes , why not cut lee , holmes, wr thompson and wr davis and keep randy, diamond , rader, and perry and at wr we cut davis, thompson, and put mann on the practice squad, as for newson , he could very be done as a wr in the nfl but we shall see. i am not sold on booker or boston but we will see what they can do this season.

I'm becoming more and more of a Diamond fan. Of course I am tempering my enthusiasm just a bit as this IS just preseason but he has been looking very good as a 2-way (blocking and catching) TE.
