Can anyone explain why we STILL cant cover a TE??? If those two Tight Ends are that good why did we not draft one? We have needed one for a few years.. I cannot wait for Dustin Keller to torch us...GDMF!

Yep got Owen Daniels next week, then Ben Watson who had 100 yards a TD on 10 catches against Miami last season, then Antonio Gates, and then Dustin Keller.

Hernandez had drug problems and Gronk had back issues.
 
I think it has more to do with Brady than it does the TE's.

New England has shown that they can throw just about anybody in and they look good.

Why can't we cover them? Brady is a good QB. Focus on one guy and he hits another.

yeah yeah but we constantly get destroyed by TEs on any team not just NE ... this has been a problem for a long long time... Edds was SUPPOSED to be a good backer in pass coverage... too bad he never panned out... we need this fixed...have to wait another year... but if this game has any bearing on the future id say TEs are gonna be a big big problem this year...

Parcells rule #127, Never, never, ever use a high draft pick on a TE
 
The thing that annoys me is they go "untouched" off the line. can't someone at least "chip" the TE on the way to the QB??
 
Did we even cover the TEs with a linebacker in man to man all night? All I saw was Sapp, and Bell getting burned by them.
 
I thought Dansby and Burnett were suppose to be our solution to covering Tight Ends?? I guess that isn't going to work either huh??
 
No one got a hand on anyone. They looked like complete pansies. I've never seen so many guys running wide open, untouched for an entire play. The D either needs to play zone against NE next time or line everyone up at the goal line and hope they can prevent them from getting in.
 
We werent getting plays in. It looked like we lined up in the same formation and had the same coverage almost every play, and we could never adjust. I'd say our inability to cover the TE's had a lot to do with that, as opposed to physical ability. It also appears that we made no adjustments whatsoever at halftime on defense.

Benny Sapp continues to play like he did last year, and I am not sure how he made this team because he is no ST wonder.

imo our TE fasono looked very good, but i thought we went out and got some lbs that could cover TEs ? those to TEs /wrs .for new england is just that they run like a wr, but has size like a TE.. imo we should put 6 cbs in on all downs because thats what beat us last nite was the TEs/ wrs of the pats .
