Tight Ends

We werent getting plays in. It looked like we lined up in the same formation and had the same coverage almost every play, and we could never adjust. I'd say our inability to cover the TE's had a lot to do with that, as opposed to physical ability. It also appears that we made no adjustments whatsoever at halftime on defense.

Benny Sapp continues to play like he did last year, and I am not sure how he made this team because he is no ST wonder.

I agree..Seemed like they just check with me calls...like when brady went empty backfield we all out blitzed...Kinda silly but we did it..No one on our whole team could cover a tight end...no one..but really the whole pats team was locked in...I think we should just lick our wounds and move on...As for the other tight ends I think it can only get better from this point on..Brady had a bad taste in his mouth from the Jets playoff game last year..I think he prepared all offseason for this game..I wish we would have done the same..to think Brady did this to us last year..(Ran no huddle) and we still had no answer to it..

Could confusion be based on lack of Crowder? I wasn't a fan of Crowder, they did say though he was "smart" when it came to Defenses/getting people in places.

Honestly I don't think any team is going to be able to stop NE's TE's, no matter what that defense is ranked.

Jason Trusnick had two ST penalties and AJ Edds is a Patriot. Questionable.

I think it has more to do with Brady than it does the TE's.

New England has shown that they can throw just about anybody in and they look good.

Why can't we cover them? Brady is a good QB. Focus on one guy and he hits another.

The Jets seem to be able to cover them! No excuses for TE's running wide open down the middle of the field.

Hernandez had drug problems and Gronk had back issues.
Vontae Davis had issues, Odrick had a broken leg in college (and on the 1st play for the Phins)
we wont draft guys like these because they are drafted for a ground and pound offense (alot of guards and tackles) and haven't got many of those right

not only do we get burned by TEs going on three years but we refuse to go get a threat for our offense. this FO s philosophy is behind the times

Waiting for Fasano to hit his stride. . . . . . . . .

Albiet he had some nice catches last night. Most of the time I can't stand this guy. One being he fumbles, two being he holds onto the ball like a purse when breaking tackles.

cutting the guy we drafted to guard te's doesnt really help

That is the problem with Fasano, hes average not great. average guys will give you one or two great games. I want them to find a TE that consistently performs. and linebackers that will guard against TEs

Burnett was our second best coverage LB in the preseason. We cut our best coverage LB ... you might have noticed him on the New England special teams ... name is Edds. We suuuuuuuuuure colds used that midwestern kid last night.

I was screaming at the TV for us to draft Rob Gronkowski (who had a bad back at the time) but instead we took all-world LB Koa Misi. Speed, size, strength, hands, blocking skills. Our fear of drafting injured players just repeatedly hit us in the face last night. And he will continue to do that twice a year for the rest of his career.

Can anyone explain why we STILL cant cover a TE??? If those two Tight Ends are that good why did we not draft one? We have needed one for a few years.. I cannot wait for Dustin Keller to torch us...GDMF!
I am basically putting a positive spin on this game, but I agree with this. We make every team's TE look like an all-pro. Seems as though TEs have career games when they play us.

I wanted Gronkowski as well. I just wanted a legit TE.
