Tillman is decent... as a backup. My guess is bell will get his chance soon and the fact that as bad as our secondary is (worst in the league on paper) you have to be thinking something is up if he hasn't played a single down on defense. Forget not cracking the lineup... other then on Special Teams, Jason Allen has not played a single down on defense in the NFL. Why doesn't Saban or Capers or anybody play him? Makes me wonder that it's more than just him holding out during the offseason.

There was a reason why Tillman was out of football for a year or so before we pulled him off of the garbage heep. I don't know who is worse him or Howard. Its just mind boggling that he starts and is so very bad. Get with it Saban!!!!!!!!!

god damn our secondary is horrible. I know they are probably coached to face guard, but if they would just friggin turn around once in awhile this team might have half a dozen pics this year.

Agreed. Tillman is awful and Saban needs to pull him. He was responsible for the long Heath Miller TD in week 1 and his poor play has continued. The pass int. and TD he gave up were just pathetic and broke our backs. I'd keep him for depth but he just ins't getting the job done as a starter.

I think you keep Hill out there. He had a good game IMO.
The thing with Bell is that he's way better as a blitzer/nickle LB than he is covering as a safety. I say you keep Bell in the same role he's in now and put Allen in for Tillman.
Tillman is one of the worst starting safeties in the NFL easily.
