Thanks for the great career, Tim. I remember coming into the draft he was not that well known at least to the fans. When ESPN did their preview show and mock draft the Saturday before draft (draft used to be on Sun and Mon), Joe Theismann picked Tim Bowens for the Dolphins and I thought that was a reach.

Thankfully, I was wrong and Tim Bowens played lights out. Many a time, Phil Simms on telecasts used to say that Bowens and Gardener (Daryl) were the best DT tandem in the League.

Great career, Tim. If you look back on history he has to be a Dolphin great. The style of play our teams ran didn't give way to sacks and big plays for Tim, but what we asked of him he did, chances for numbers we may have taken away from he never complained, consummate professional, never a question?
 
He's the last player on the team left over from the Shula days. He was deffensive rookie of the year his first year, and he did alot of great things, too bad the years caught up to him at the end. Good luck Timbo and thank you for all the great years.
