Duckworth is an undrafted free agent. Denver signed him on May 2. But now they've released him. Anybody have any info on why?

He has been described as a road-grader, which would make him a better fit for the Fins than the Broncos.

Played OG at Auburn. Had a 5th round grade. Another reason he might deserve a look: Marcus McNeill and Ben Grubbs also went to Auburn.

Any chance we sign this guy?

I think he played pretty well at Auburn. I would like to see us give him a shot.

Hey..let's bring in Major White, cuz Vince Young went to University of Texas!

I HAVE A BETTER IDEA LETS ALL GO OUT AND CHASE THOSE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN AND THEN WE CAN ALL SING "I FORGOT TO TURN MY CAPS OFF SONG"
we need to look for another wr and cb as well .:sidelol:

Duckworth seemed to be a quality player from what I've seen and heard. I live in Alabama now, so all they talk about is college football here so, I can pretty much tell you anything about Auburn or Bama. Don't worry my LOYALTIES remain w/the FINS and CANES!

I think he just did not fit with their zone blocking scheme.

If that were the case then why would they have signed him in the first place? Teams are smarter than that. I suspect there must be some other, major reason they let him go so quickly.

Keep in mind Miami is actually making a concerted effort to have faster, more athletic guards now.

You're right. I heard that, too. But does that automatically rule out Duckworth? His scouting report says he has good intial quickness and plays with aggression.

I don't know. I read his lack of athleticism was one of his biggest drawbacks.
