Tim Hasselbeck on Chad Henne....

Tim was just interviewed on the Mike & Mike show and believes that Chad is an "above average athlete" can make all of the throws but too often makes a throw that makes you wonder what exactly was he looking at???? On Monday watching film he gets you downright uncomfortable with some of his mistakes. Now if he can eliminate some of them he believes that Chad has upside.......Anybody else hear the show????
Almost every player coming in is above average athlete, it's the NFL. It's all about making the right reads and not turning the ball over. Henne doesn't do that.

Its true, Henne can make the throws, but when he does he always makes that 1 mistake.. Henne and this offense would drive down the field and always stall.. A lot of it has to do with the play-calling too. How many times did we see Henning call a play with 1 WR out to pass, or a 2-11 draw, or something like that..

Henne has the physical tools to be a good QB, the mental part of his game needs work, and his timing with his WRs.

It has more to do with the lack of a run game to keep defenses honest. We got into those situations where mistakes were made by Henne and others because the D's knew we couldn't run the ball....That doesn't excuse the mistakes. I agree that Henning was awful. No continuity in practices or on game day....

These are my thoughts too. Henne can make all the throws and is pretty accurate. However, after slinging around 11 great throws it's on that 12th throw, with no one open, that would result in an INT. If he can cut down on those, I love him.

Are Mike and Mike trying to cover up their disapproval for all things Dolphins by having their ESPN cronies and talk the Phins up now?

Ok, remember that M&M are biased. Greenie is so far up Rexy's butt, it makes Rex forget about feet. Golic is still upset because we wouldn't sign him for another year after he was washed up. Keep that in mind when they are talking about the Fins. Also remember that we don't have a name-brand coach (or even executive now) and we've struggled in our division with the pasties and jesters, so we won't get much positive air time from them...

what Dolphin Qb has the team record for completed passes in a game? Chad henne look it up 17-17. the guy has talent I would give him this year with a new offensive cord should help. Henne fails then cut him at the end of the season . the fans calling for orton and booing Henne grow up thats little kids stuff real weak.

this is it for henne new coordinator i do belive that the old play caller henning regressed henne development and now we will see what this kid can really do if he comes out and does the same stuff we know its the qb and not the play calling...

Also on the topic, Adam Schefter (sitting in for Golic) felt that the lack of QB play is more a product of the Dolphins system, than the actual QB themselves. He used the example of how many QB's have started and failed since #13 was behind center for us.........I have to agree with that assessment. If Dilfer can do it (in Bal) and go as far as he did, it obviously was the system in his case..........

I would'nt call winning 4 out of the last 5 games against the jest struggling.

Man, always with these excuses with the HENNE lovers. It's all Hennings fault right. i forgot was he the head coach? NO he wsa a Cooridinator. Doesn't ****** have the final say in the plays that get to the QB? couldn't he just over ride the call. if he didn't then hes a fat *** loser ***** too. Cant wait to see him gone next year.

I'm not a Henne fan, but it's not his fault he's so damn tentative and makes poor decisions. Sparano and Henning absolutely ruined his confidence by not allowing him to play balls out, all in football. The coaching staff micromanages every little move about his game and I think that's the biggest problem.

I agree with you 100%. Dan Henning RUINED Henne's confidence. You look at the 2009 home game vs. the Jets and the 2010 home game vs. the Browns...those aren't even the same two quarterbacks. I'm not saying Henne would have been great had Henning not been here, but DH sure as hell didn't help things.
