Tim Jenkins Breaksdown Tua

Really good breakdown using all 22 film. Jenkins is a former NFL QB and is a coach.

He will be breaking down Tua every Tuesday

This is so needed to educate the TDS (Tua derangement syndrome) folks on the complexity of QB play. What he didn’t really address was the constant pressure Tua was under, making how he played even more impressive. Not saying there isn’t room to grow with Tua, but that was a damn good game.

Good break down. I think Tua had a solid game.
I really would like Tua to get more assertive on his throws/decisions. Always seems on most the ugly throws/decisions he is over thinking and not just playing. Two examples were the play that was almost picked, the guy was open right away Tua looked at him hesitated and then threw of balance and late. On that he needed to throw right off and after not throwing just accept to you missed the guy and air mail it out of bounds. The second was the underthrow to Carcraft. Again he looked hesitate to set right of and throw then looked like well I will run, but then decide to throw last second and out of sync. He need to decide am I running this play or passing and then commit to it. He looked like he never really made a decision and commit to it. Result an of balance out if sync pass.

Like the TD to Waddle, saw it, commeted to thr throw and zipped there. Like the guy mentioned he shows off a plus arm on that throw. To me the throws that look weak or float are the throws that he is not 100% commeted to the throw from a mental point.

I really hope he gets more comfortable in this O (it is new) and regain some confidence/ swagger.

One thing that really smacked me upside the head was after I watched McDaniel's Monday press conference was the fact that 1) New England stacked the box and tried to make Miami one dimensional and make Tua win the game and 2) despite that fact Miami was able to make plays on offense with a 2 wide receiver set. I can't stress that last one enough.

If we can get our running game going it will really, really, really help Tua and our offense. Just mentioning it for a friend. ;-)
