Was I seeing things or was Tim Bowens playing sunday against the carolina panthers? If so.. WOW... What a line we have

i do remember though that timbo talked about taking a year off and possibly trying it again down the road. anyone heard anything on this? would be nice to see tim return and finish his career on a 1-year contract on his terms. that is if he can stay healthy.

Yeah, I remember reading an article that said he was putting off his retirement. What happened to that? I miss the guy.

I just mean that I would like an update to how he's doing if anyone knows. Is he still in Miami? Has he been working out? How has the back been?

you might have been mistaking David Bowens for Tim. Timbo is out for the season.

Forget him playing again. Those kind of injuries are devastating for someone with an interior lineman position. The constant battering makes it impossible. He'd stand a shot if he were in his early 20s, but sadly, he's gone. He was a special player.

TimBo did not retire yet.....He may play again next year if his back let's him but, he is taking this entire year off.

I haven't heard anything about him since this was annouced.

OK, back to the original question then....Does anyone have any information on him since he is taking his time off? I am just curious, because I always liked Tim, and I hate that we only seem to talk about former players when something bad happens to them. I would like to know how he has been regardless of what he is planning to do as far as another season. He really was a cornerstone of our D for a lot of years. Hopefully, he is still doing well and getting over his back problems not just in a football sense, but for his quality of life.

I would be shocked if Timbo were able to come back and be of any value to the team. A Defensive lineman with a bad back......Tim needs to ride off into the sunset.

Imagine Timbo and Traylor next to each other on Goalline stands! :fatman: :fatman:

You never say never till the Fat lady sings....It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Timbo to get well enough to come back and play on a rotating basis...Rather than punish his back for 80% of the plays....he could just play on early downs...It's hard to say but if you know anything about Timbo...he will play if there's any chance at all of playing...Or unless his Doc tells him he could end up in a wheel chair!...Which is probably what will happen if it already hasn't....Good luck Timbo!...
