The college season is winding down after today and while there is still obviously the conference championship games, bowl games, and all star games, there's probably enough info out there to start looking at different prospects for the draft. Plus, considering how many threads there are right now about the draft, it's clear the interest is there.

First question is Boomer's opinion on Haloti Ngata?

It's also about time for the guy who kept us up to date on the current draft positions every week. Don't remember off the top of my head who it was. I wanna hear Boomer's thoughts on Brady Quinn and if he's coming out or not. I know he says No right now but millions of dollars have a way of changing a person's mind.

are we talking about a boomer on this board? or the real boomer? if so, why are we asking teh questions we have looking for an asnwer from him? loll venting out soem quetsions i see? if so, let me ask one...What are the chances of miami picking up Leinart and with what cost.

Yes, Boomer on this board spends alot of time scouting college players and knows quite a bit about draft potential. I always look forward to reading his posts because they are usually very insightful, and plus I love the draft.

Would have to be considered a very strong possibility as our first round pick. A tremendous talent, nasty, hugely powerful, can control the line at times, gets great leverage and should be off the board early to mid early in r1.

Boomes,

What is your honest opinion about drafting an OT in the first round. Do we really need a stud lineman to improve our offense? I've been watching Auburn clobber Alabama, and I really like the nastiness and tenacity of Marcus McNeil. Would he be a good fit, and are there other OT's you like too?

Secondly, do you think Jay Cutler is over-hyped?

How about an opinion on Jamarcus Russell

Not eligible of course. But has a big arm but needs to be much more consistent. But he has two decent players pushing him hard in Flynn and Ryan Perriloux who has 1st round POTENTIAL, so hopefully he will really train on in the next 2 years.

yaa and what about jimmy williams and is Leinart the reel deel

Williams is more than likely going to be a safety in the pros. His size is safety like and he has the sort of aggression that you like in a top drawer free safety. He's strong, fluid, good hips, quick, but he has an odd shuffling back peddle and as proven when he was manned up against Georgia Tech with Calvin Johnson, at times he can be taken to the cleaners. But we all have bad days, I just think long term he's a safety.

As for Leinart, yeah he's the real deal. He's as good as I've seen in a while. His touch is special and people argue that he's that good because of the supporting cast, but you still have to get the ball to Bush and Smith and Jarrett, etc.

He's the top 1 or 2 pick.

I love Quinn. He's developed so well under Charlie Weis. He's a solid 1st round pick at the moment. But he'll stay at South Bend. ND have a legitimate National Title shot next year and he has the chance to be a top 3/5 pick at worst with another year. Weis has created another Tom Brady.

Unless we capitulate I don't see us having a shot. And I don't see Nick trading away picks when we have so many holes elsewhere.

Boomer I don't think you covered the 2002 nfl draft for Finheaven, but what did you think of Patrick Ramsey pre being screwed over by Spurrier and Gibbs...

Boomer, What are your opinions on the QB class. I know it is looking weak. People seem to be mixed on Vince Young if he comes out. Cutler is really looking good and I think he could sneak into the first round. After that there seems like some interesting later guys like Piengar, Whitehurst, Croyle, Clemmons, McNeal, etc. What are your thoughts on these guys?
