d carp is stinking it up again. last year he finished 29th with a 73.2 pct and he is a whopping 66.7% at the bottom again. i know we have many issues but carps missed fgs the last 2 games cost us wins. if we are going to play for fgs we might as well have a kicker that can make them.

Maybe.. but I guarantee if we let him go, whatever team he goes to, he'll end up making all his field goals.

How's Connor Barth been? We didn't have him long, just competition for Carp, but I think he's been pretty good in TB.

Well, 08-10 Barth's 79.7

Carp's 82.1

Barth's been cut by one team already, and, Dan's got a Pro Bowl.

I'd say Carp's got him. We'll see by the end of the season though.

Huh, guess he only plays well against us then. I remember one game he seemed to be nailing 50 yarders on us like nothing. Anywho though I do hope Dan turns it around, he's been pretty good for us for the most part. Maybe that play to kick field goal mentality wore his leg down last season.

Kicker's are mental. It's like golf. When you lose your stroke it's GONE.

And I did not include the three games in this present season where Barth has a signifigant
lead in %.

whose available and worth bringing in?

Reject losers who've been cut multiple times by multiple teams available ... like all positions!! lol

We've already got plenty of these guys "off the trash heap" on our team ... why do you want another?? Haven't you noticed all the threads about RT Marc Colombo? Careful what you wish for ... may cause thread overload!! lol

Well fatiuge is a factor.

08- 25 att and
09- 28 att
10- 41 att

Who knows? I'd hate to think a kicker's leg could wear out like that.

Meh.....tell that to Morten Anderson or John Carney. There's a slew of kickers that have kicked well into their 40's without a problem. Carp's problem is all in his head. Best kickers don't let the yips linger. Doesn't appear Carp can hack it at this point. Certainly can't have him hitting 65-70% and costing us games. Better bet kicker competition will be there in 2012.

Carp was at 73 % last season he was tied for MOST
misses with 11 but is on pace to blow those numbers away
this season.

Kicker may be something we want to address in the future
