Time for some optimism - The Youth Contribute

Im just about as bummed out as everyone else but like a number of you have written about the future, I thought id take a look at how many players are at 25 years and under or 3 years in the NFL or less and where they are in as far as contribution
See below the actual list but in brief there is:
31 Total
11 Starting
12 Contributing either on Special Teams or as Back Ups or both
The future looks bright

QB: Henne/Thigpen/White
RB: Hilliard/Sheets
WR: Bess/Hartline/Ginn/Turner
TE: Fasano/Sperry/Haynos
OL: Long/Thomas/Garner/Gardner/Hartline

DL: Langford/Merlin/Soliai/Dotson/McDaniel/Alama-Francis/Baker
LB: Wake/Walden
DB: Smith/Davis/Clemons

K: Carpenter
P: Fields

You forgot our TE's after Fasano are just a 2nd year and first year player too. Culver is a 3rd year player. Look for a push in the LB department for the next youth movement along with our other needs of course IMO

Thanks for that, got the TE's and updated the numbers. Culver is 26 and a 4yr player.

Agree with you on the push for more LB youth. I would target Jerry Hughes, TCU and Eric Norwood, South Carolina, OLB in a 43 who would/could move inside in the 34, nice size, playmaker, experienced and tough player.
