As much as we all hate it, this is not gonna work, and we need a whole new start yet again. No fan wants it but, there is no choice.

No idea who will come in to try and salvage this once proud franchise but, it is someone we do not have. One of these years we will get lucky. All we can hope for is that it is next year.

THIS YEAR IS OFFICIALLY OVER.
 
Geez, I hope not. There are some very good pieces in place. Unfortunately, it seems like the way the NFL works these days a new coach comes in and wants his quarterback and he then he is married to the 3-4 or the 4-3. I'd like an old-style coach who could adjust his approach a bit to what already is here and build on it.

No offense but thanks Captain Obvious.........And what do you mean "no fan wants it"???? Many of us have been begging for it for months & years
 
What is there to build on, other that being a middle of the pack team, yet again? Yes, we have some good players but, what has any of them really done when it counted?
 
Nopeee Replace the coach and Staff! We have a great team, They're just not coached right imo! yep we still need to bring in help in some areas but not blow it up.
 
No. Get a real coaching staff. Just look how San Fran turned the corner under a new coach. Sometimes a new coaching regime can max out the talent the previous ones couldn't.
 
No. There's some good pieces here. Need to replace the staff, cut Hartline, Wheeler, etc. Draft CB, OL, WR, LB (not necessarily in that order).
 
Blow up? Nah. New HC, DC and trim all the rest of the Ireland fat. Wheeler, Wilson, Hartline, Gibson, Ellerbe, Starks, Pouncey (trade for a pick), DTs. Get them all off the team. Let Hickey bring in lots of new blood.

There is a choice Ross must make on whether to blow the team up or, try to get someone to work with what we have, and some changes. This is not an obvious choice as he has failed to make this call for years. You don't want to tell fans you are rebuilding but, that is what it may take.

What I mean is that no fan wants to wait for a 3 year re-build. Our patience is thin enough. However, it looks like that is what it will take.
 
Agreed with all the coaching staff change. Lazor I still like. Defensive injuries have plagued us all year so maybe keep the DC. Philbin needs to go. That Green Bay timeout was the moment in which you could peer into that man's soul and see that he's scared out of his mind.

Obsolete concept. Doesn't exist anymore. Just cited as a crutch for inferior HCs.
 
Does anyone really believe that we have the talent, even with the coaching of GOD, to contend for a Super Bowl?
