Time to call out Vontae davis

Vontae got the big head last year after Brett Farve raved about him...of course Vontae went on to have a solid year.Hopefully he doubles up on the gatorade the rest of this season and gives us another solid season.
 
Miami played him like he was an elite corner, giving him single coverage and putting him on an island. The Patriots played him like he was an elite corner and avoided his side of the field for awhile...

when Brady took a shot at Vontae, he won.

I'm not ready to say Vontae is in that elite class, but I sure as hell won't say he sucks because he got beat out by those Tom Brady throws that I can count on half my hand.
 
i expect davis to come around and be a solid #1
i just think he got caught up in the hype
and was not prepared and in game shape
that goes for most of the defense

Also brady had all day to throw i think brady only had 3 quarterback hurries the whole game
 
If you're concerned about other people's agendas and sticking it to their favorite player, then it's time to call out vontae. If you're concerned about winning the next game, we have many bigger problems.
 
Well, to be fair, Benny Sapp counted for about 246 of those yards..... And Carroll another 120.

Smith only got burnt because he cramped up and Brady knew it.

cause vontae davis having a monster game doesnt help us win, right?

In that case benny and carroll should have started "cramping" also to get a free pass, lol.
 
Call out the non-existent pass rush in week 1. Talk about leaving your secondary to dry.

Pathetic performance from the guys in the trenches letting Brady have ALL DAY to throw the ball. You do that to any secondary and they will get beat all game.

That isn't a knock on Vontae, being a #2 is nothing to hang your head about, but he isn't a #1 CB on a team in this league. He doesn't play at that level

well hey, which excuses are we going to use for our CBS pathetic performance? is it the cramps or the lack of pass rush? we cant use both, that would look bad.
